| The Living Flame program has been so enriching -- I have attended every session and received something from each one. They all add to the richness of Centering Prayer, and help me "live out" the fruits of the prayer in my daily life. I feel blessed to have the program offered within an hour of my home and see many in our group who traveled much further to attend. The presenters help me "awaken and consent" to God's presence and action and love within me. They helped me see my false self in a new light, and "welcome" even the pain in my life. A true gift. | This Living Flame experience has been a safe haven for me to allow God to work in areas of my life that need some extra attention. It was a very protective environment as a participant, as I was given just enough teaching to provide continuous movement of God's Spirit to guide me along on my journey. One of the group mentioned it was like being on the road to Emmaus, and that does sum it up for me too. | I attended Living Flame II and found the entire experience to be one that deepened my faith and encouraged me to practice Centering Prayer on a regular basis. | The Living Flame II series was helpful to me in a number of unexpected ways. Having members of the faculty come out and give in-depth presentations was an excellent opportunity to broaden my understanding of the Christian mystical tradition. However, the monthly gatherings brought me in contact with the local community as well as the national faculty. That contact was greatly reinforcing for my practice. | My experinece with Living Flame was probably unique because it was my first exposure to Contemplative Outreach. I was not even in a Centering Prayer support group yet, but had practiced on my own for some months. I loved the two year experience of Living Flame. I love to learn, and the content was a good mixture of mind and heart, or intellectual food with a liberal helping of experienctial seasoning, so it was very well balanced.
