Living Streams Service Times

LIVING STREAMS

Programme 2009/10
(Betley and Madeley, Staffordshire)

In alternate months, at Betley or at Madeley, on the first Sunday of the month, there are united Services of Praise, intended to be opportunities to share in informal worship and to grow through focussed teaching, and Services of Healing and Wholeness, which provide an atmosphere of peace, support and encouragement, in a caring and non-threatening environment.

Our popular Praise Services are at St. Margaret's Church, Betley, and offer the opportunity to share in fellowship, contemorary worship and good teaching. They always allow time for prayer and quiet as well as music and singing. The next services take place at 6.30 p.m. on the following dates:

The Services of Healing and Wholeness are at All Saints' Church, Madeley.

Most of us can only dream of what it was like to witness the incredible events that took place during Jesus' life: to have seen him pray for the deaf or blind or lame and then rejoice because of their healing; to have talked with him late into the might and have had the chance to share our inmost thoughts and feelings. But as Jesus lived over 2000 years ago, it is a dream that can never be.

Jesus knew that his ministry would only last for a short while, so he took great care to instruct his disciples to continue his work. That's why Christians, including those at Betley and Madeley, still offer prayer for healing today.

We believe that God always responds when prayer for healing is offered in the name of Christ. The outcome may be the immediate or gradual improvement in a physical illness, the relief and better understanding of some emotional hurt or distress, or an assurance of God's unconditional love.

The next gentle and uplifting services of prayer for healing at take place at 6.30 p.m., on the following dates:

PRAYING FOR YOU AND WITH YOU

If you have walked or driven past Madeley church on a Saturday morning recently, you may have seen the notices indicating that the church is "open for prayer".

to look around. There is a leaflet that describes the history of the church and its main features.

to talk. One or more of our Ministers or Pastoral Team will be there if you need a listening ear.

Men's Breakfast

From time to time we hold a Living Steams Men's Breakfast in the Betley Reading Room at 8.30 a.m., usually on Saturdays - a time of fellowship and teaching.

We also hold regular special days for women, such as Be Dazzled! and Beyond Rubies, both in All Saints' Church.
