| Fifteen year old, James Potter woke up with a start. He had had some weird dream. He couldn't remember what it was about though...sadly. He turned his head to look out his window. James' family was quite wealthy. They lived in a 10-bedroom house. Complete with 8 bathrooms, a rec room, a weight room, a living room, a den, 2 studies (one for James and one for his mum and dad), a dining room, a huge kitchen, James' own living room type of thing for him and his friends to chill out in, and a huge pool in their backyard. Just behind the hill, behind their house, there was a barn. Actually, it was really a small quidditch stadium. But, from the outside, it looked like a barn so that Muggles wouldn't get suspicious. The bricks on the house were a light grey, with black shingles on the roof. James room was quite large. Within it he could fit: his kingsized canopy bed, his desk(complete with his c.d.player and his stacks and stacks of c.d.'s) His own 32 inch screen t.v., his computer, his blow up couch and a wardrobe. His owl and her own little house like type of deal and a bunch of other stuff. His room connected to a bathroom, his bathroom. This had a shower, a deep, jaccuzi bathtub, double sinks and a huge mirror. The bathroom had another door at the other end of it. This connected to James' rec room. In here there was: a couch, 2 loveseats, a huge t.v. that was about 3/4 of the size of his wall, an entire sound system, a ping-pong table, an air hockey table, a basketball net, a pool table, a dart board hanging off one of the walls, and a bookcase(God only knows why that was in there). James rolled over and climbed out of bed. He put on his glasses. He had been looking for this day for a long time. All of his friends had gone away for the summer holidays. Today, they would all be getting back. They would be spending the entire day, just hanging around a chilling. Just the four of them and... James groaned," Oh no..." He forgot one little thing. His parents were good friends with the Evan's. Unfortunately, the Evan's had to go to Greece on emergency ministry business and James' mom had volunteered to watch Lily and her sister, Petunia. Of course that wasn't the worst part. Lily was supposed to be having a sleep over that night with her best friend, Madison. Instead of telling Madison that she couldn't come over, Mrs. Potter invited Madison to come spend the day too! James went downstairs to the dining room. He sat in his chair at the other end of the table. He sat with his hands in his lap and his head hanging down. James' father was sitting at the other end of the table reading the paper. "Good morning ,son! How'd you sleep?" he boomed. "Fine, dad," said James as he looked up at his father. "Good!" said his father as he turned his attention back to the paper. James' personal servant, Jean-Claude, came from the kitchen holding a plate of scrambled eggs and hash-browns. "Your breakfast. Young master Potter," he said as he put the plate in front of James. "Thanks, Jean," said James as he picked up his fork and took a bite of the eggs. "Your tea will be ready shortly, " said Jean-Claude as he turned and went back into the kitchens. Just then James' mum, Marie came walking into the dining room from the den. Her head was tilted to one side as she attempted to put her earrings in. She was wearing a deep green shirt with a pair of beige kapri's. James always like the way his mom dressed. She was so cool . "Good morning, sweetie! How'd you sleep?" she asked flung her Mid length, dark brown hair back over. James nodded and continued eating his breakfast. Jean Claude came back out with James' tea. "Here you go, Sir," he said as he placed it down in front of him. "Thanks," said James as he handed Jean the empty plate. "Now sweetie, you do remember that Lily, Petunia and Madison are coming over right?" James nodded and leaned back in his chair, sipping his tea. "And when are your friends coming over?" asked James' father from behind the paper. James looked almost identical to his father. The same jet -black messy hair, the glasses, the height, the medium build. James' didn't care though. His dad was still cool. "Umm...what time is it now?" asked James as he drained his tea-cup. His mum glanced at her gold watch," Quarter to 12." James leapt from the table," Sirius is going to be here any minute! When are the girls coming?" " Not for another half an hour," replied his mom. James nodded and bolted from the room. He ran up the stairs two at a time, while pulling off his shirt. He ran into his room, throwing the shirt onto his bed. He ran into the bathroom and finished getting undressed. He jumped into the shower and washed his hair(and body). He turned off the shower and opens the curtain a bit. he grabbed the towel of the rack and wrapped it around himself. Grabbing another towel, he climbed out of the shower and dryed off his hair. James picked up his wand from the counter top and pointed it at himself," Changus!" He changed into a pair of jeans and a red t-shirt. He looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was a mess. Pieces of it sticking out everywhere. He tried flattening it down, without success. James picked up his de-orderant off the counter and put some on. Then he picked up his cologne. e sprayed a bit on.Hey, the girls were coming. He had to at least SMELL good. He picked up his other clothes off the floor and walked into his room. "Looking spunky," came a voice from his bed. ******** Good story, so far, Marnina (as usual)! Hurry up and continue! hplove~~~ ******** James jumped a mile," JESUS, MAN!! DO YOU WANT TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK?!" Sirius smiled. His smile was really good, although it was sometimes hidden behind his black, shoulder length hair. He had a bigger build than Harry. He was a beater for the school quidditch team. James was a seeker. Sirius was titled," The Cute One" or " The Hot One" OR " The Amazingly good-looking sexy..." (I think you get the idea). He too was wearing a pair of jeans, but he had a black shirt on instead that said "Something Corporate" across the chest in white lettering. He got off the bed," Now that you mention it..." James walked over to him and gave him a hug. He patted him on the back," Good to see you again." "You too," said Sirius as they pulled away. "Are Moony and Wormtail coming?" asked James. Sirius nodded,"They'll be here in a few minutes. Remy's mommy just wanted him to unpack before he came over." James nodded,"Let's go downstairs. They're probably arriving by floo." Sirius followed James out his bedroom door and down the stairs. They walked through the front hall and into the living room. James and Sirius sat down on the couch that was facing the open fireplace, used especially for floo. Sirius suddenly began smiling. James saw him out of the corner of his eye,"What?" "Do you want to act queer when they come?" he asked James. James smiled the mischievious smile(one of the many trade marks of the Marauders). He moved over on the couch so that he was right beside Sirius. He flung his leg over Sirius' stomach and wrapped his arms around his neck. "How's this?" he asked. Sirius looked at him,"I have the feeling that you actually like this..." James smacked him upside the head at the same time a loud pop came from the fireplace. Remus Lupin rolled out. "Oh...what big arms you have!" exclaimed James in a high pitched girly voice as he stroked Sirius' arm. Sirius smiled," I know...aren't they great?" "Hey g--" Lupin stopped in mid sentence. James and Sirius looked at him, James batting his eyes. "--Girls," he finished. "I resent that!" said James in his girly voice as he pretended to fling his hair back. Sirius shook his head," I should have been the girl..." "You have the looks of one..." said Remus as he brushed the soot off himself. Remus was the quiet and smart one in the group. He did all his work all the time. His sandy hair was all tossed around, his blue eyes shining. "I kn-- HEY!" he shouted as he jumped off the couch, causing James to fall on the floor. Remus and Sirius burst out laughing. "It wasn't that funny guys," said James as he picked himself off the floor. Remus was hunched over holding his side,"Y-Yes it w-was!" James glared at him. He was just about to punch him when another POP! came from the fireplace. Peter Pettrigrew came tumbling out. "Sorry I'm late guys," he said as he got off the floor. He looked around and saw James and Remus, and James' arm frozen in the air. "I'm not going to ask," said Peter as he crept away from James. "PETER!" cried Sirius as he pushed James and Remus out of the way,"How've ya been? Haven't seen you in a while!" he said as he wrapped his arm around Peter's chubby shoulder. "And I haven't seen you..." said a now quite frightened Peter. Peter was the very quiet, shy one of the group. He was slightly chubby with brown hair and brown eyes. He wasn't very smart...but he tried. "You guys want to go to the treehouse?" asked James as he lowered his arm and fixed his shirt. "Sure!" said Remus. "I wasn't asking you," said James. Moony (a.k.a. Remus)stuck his tongue out at Prongs(a.k.a. James) James smiled and walked out of the living room. His friends close behind. "We're going outside!" James called to his mom as he walked out the back door. "Okay sweetie!" called his mum. "Bye mom!" called Sirius. "Dude, she's not YOUR mom," said James. "I know. I just like saying that," said Sirius as he began running across the field towards the trees, where they're treehouse was. When they were younger, it used to be the"clubhouse". Now it was only a tree house, just a memory of their past. James and Remus chased after him. "Last one there's the rotten egg!" called Remus. "How old are you?" said James as they ran side by side. Remus punched him in the arm. Sirius was further ahead, he was already climbing the rope ladder. James was second. He grabbed the ladder and began climbing up. Remus waited until James was up before he started climbing. Peter came a few minutes later. He was breathing heavily and panting. "HAHA!! You look like Snuffles!" called Sirius down to him. Snuffles was Sirius' name for himself...when he turned into a dog. He, James, and Peter were all unregistered animagus.(sp?) Sirius was a dog, James was a stag, and Peter was a rat. The reason? Because Remus turned into a warewolf every full moon. They had to help him in some way. Keep him under control. So they decided to secretly practice very advanced transfiguration. Every night they would sneak into an empty classroom and practice. It didn't take very long before they all mastered it, about a month or so. Peter changed into a rat and scampered up the trunk of the tree. Once he had reached the tree house, he changed back. "I never really liked the ladder," said Peter as he sat down and looked around. "Wow. It still hasn't changed, has it?" "It's only been a year, stupid," said Remus. This made Peter very embarrased, he brought his legs up to his chest and rested his head on them. The treehouse hadn't changed. It was still the same. It was huge. James and his friends had built it with the help of his dad when they were only children. It was a circular shape. Covering the circumference of four trees holding it up. It was all made of wood. There was a high roof over top, high ehough so that they could still stand in it at their age now. In one corner was all the comic books they ever read. On one of the walls there was a phone so that Mrs. Potter could call them in for meals. In another corner there was a bunch of candy wrappers that they saved from the places they'd been around the world. Hidden behind one of the walls was their secret stash of food. None of them knew how old it was, but they still ate it. They had connected this magical pipe that brought the food from the kitchen into the treehouse, for those long nights of planning. In another wall they're was they're prank stuff. Dung bombs, Non -luminous balloons, firecrackers...any joke thing you could imagine. In the dead middle of the tree house, there was a trap door. It was open right now since the ladder was down. James smiled,"Oh the memories..." Sirius looked over at him and smiled, which quickly faded when they heard voices. "JAMES? REMUS? SIRIUS? ARE YOU UP THERE?" called Petunia Evans. "Oh God..." said Remus, his face turning pale. Sirius leapt over to the trap door and began pulling up the ladder. Everyone remembered Petunia. She was Lily's snotty sister. She always thought so highly of herself, when she was horrid. No one liked her. She was always making rude comments about people. Trying so hard to fit in. On the other hand, there was Lily and Madison. They were both so ugly last year, but they didn't try and fit in. They knew it would never happen. James picked up the binoculars they had up there. "Oh my god...guys you HAVE to see this!" he called. Sirius was just locking the trap door when he jumped over to James. He grabbed the binoculars,"Oh man...." Remus grabbed them off of him,"Whoa..." "We HAVE to let them up!" said James. "But Petunia's there!" said Remus."I'm not staying here with her here." Sirius bit his lip and leaned over the edge of the treehouse,"SORRY! Can't let you all up! We can only take 2!" he called down to them. "That's not fair!" cried Petunia. "We really couldn't care!" called Remus as he too leaned over the edge. "Nice one," James said to Remus as he gave him a pat on the back. "Petunia, can you go help my mom with the baking. She was wondering what ingrediants you have to use for the homemade cookies," called James. "OKAY!" called Petunia as she turned and ran inside, she always liked to show off. Once she was inside and the door was closed, Sirius flung open the trap door again and tossed down the ladder,"UP HERE! QUICKLY!" Lily grabbed on and climbed up. Madison waited until she was halfway before she climed up. James was at the trapdoor ready to help Lily up. He saw her hand feel around for something to grab onto. He stretched his arm out. She grabbed it and looked at him. James gasped. Lily looked amazing. Her red-orange hair was silky and wavy, with every piece in place. It was hanging loosely down her back. Her braces were finally off, showing perfect white teeth. On her green eyes she wore a light pink shade of eyeshadow. On her lips, light pink lipstick. She was wearing a baby blue spaghetti strapped tank top with blue jean shorts that went just past her bum. James smiled widely and pulled her up with such strength he never knew he had. James could see Sirius leaning over the trapdoor ready to help Madison. She too looked amazing. Her mid-length , dirty blond hair was tied up in a ponytail. She was wearing a light golden colour of eyeshadow on her big blue eyes. She was no longer wearing her retainer. She also had lost weight, A LOT of weight. She looked really good. She was wearing a red tank top/ belly top and tight black shorts that showed off her legs perfectly. "Thanks," she said shyly as she took Sirius' outstretched hand. He helped her up and then pulled up the ladder, closing the door afterwards. Madison took a seat in one of the far corners, away from everyone. She was really shy. Her only friend away from school was Lily. They had a lot in common. She pulled her legs up to her now quite busty chest and wrapped her arms around them. She rested her head on her knees and looked around at everyone. Sirius sat down on the blankets that were spread across the floor. Remus was leaning against the side of the treehouse. His legs were crossed at the ankles and he was reading a book. Peter stared at Madison from the other end of the treehouse. She smiled sheepishly at him and looked over at James. He was still standing there with Lily. "Nice to see you again, Lily," he said as he blushed slightly. Lily smiled,"You too, Potter." Sirius watched them holding back the laughter. He actually snorted and looked away. Remus kicked him in the lower back. He slapped his leg. Madison smiled, she liked Remus. He was cute. He still had that little kid look to him. His hair was so neat and tidy, his clothes expensive. Remus could feel someone looking at him, he looked up from his book at Madison and smiled. She smiled back. He looked back at his book. "Do you want to sit down?" asked James. "Thank you," said Lily as she sat down, her legs to one side and her ankles crossed. Still reading, Remus began singing,"And can't you feel the love tonight..." "Tonight..." joined in Peter. "Shut up you two!" shouted Sirius. Madison giggled and looked over at Remus. He was already looking at her. Sirius looked over at Madison and stuck out his hand," I don't think we've met before. I'm Sirius Black." "You have so met her!" Remus said as he kept reading. Sirius looked at him," Oh yeah, where?" "Duh, that's Madison. She hangs out with Lily at school all the time," said Remus matter of factly. Sirius stuck his tongue out at him," ANYWAYS! So what do you want to do?" he asked the group. As if it was magic, the tree house phone rang. Sirius flung himself at the phone before anyone else got there. He picked up the receiver," Marauder's Headquarters," he said. He stared at the group and nodded as he listened to the person on the other end. Then he hung up the phone. "Who was it?" asked Peter. "Who do you think it was?" Sirius said. "M-Mrs. Potter..." studdered Peter. "WE HAVE A WINNER LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!! LET'S ALL GIVE HIM A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE!!!"said Sirius in a t.v. show announcer voice. The rest of the group started clapping. Remus even put down his book and started clapping. "Was it my mom?" asked James. Sirius nodded," She said that dinner is ready. If we don't go inside within 5 minutes then she's going to send it up." "I'm staying here," said Remus as he picked his book back up. "Me too," said Peter sheepishly. Lily nodded,"I'm comfortable here." "I don't care," said James. He turned to Sirius,"You?" "Here's good," said Sirius as he sat down again. "What about you Madison?" asked Remus. She shrugged. Remus put down his book and moved over to her," You can talk to us you know. We're not strangers. You can trust us. We don't bite," he said as he put a comforting arm around her. "Yet," said Sirius as he burst out laughing. James gave him a high five," Nice one!" Remus whipped his head around and glared at them. They shut up. Madison looked even more worried now. She brought her legs up closer to her chest and put her head down. Remus leaned in closer so that the rest of them couldn't hear. "Forget them. There just being idiots...as ususal." Madison looked up at him and smiled. "There we go. Honestly were really nice guys once you get to know us. We have our secrets, but hey, you might get to know them too." Madison was staring into his eyes, she wanted so badly to kiss him, but thought better of it. "Madison?" asked Remus, he saw her staring at him. She looked away, very embarrased,"Sorry," she murmured. "That's okay. Here, come sit over here with me for dinner," he said as he got up and put his hand out to help Madison up. She looked up at him and uncurled herself from her little ball. She reached up and grabbed his hand. She was surprised at the strong grip he had even though he looked so tiny. She got up and walked over to where he had been sitting. Before they sat down, a bell rang from above the food bin. "DINNERTIME BOYS!" called Sirius. James smacked him against the side of the head. "AND LADIES!" Lily and Madison smiled. James got up and walked over to the food bin. Inside, there was a small roasted chicken, a container of mashed potatoes, some peas, some rolls, and a jug of juice with a stack of cups on top. "Sirius, come here and help me," said James as he picked up the chicken and juice. Sirius jumped up and helped James bring the food into the middle of the treehouse. Once it was all there they grouped into the center and sat back down. "Don't worry, we didn't poison it," said Sirius when he saw the scared look on Madison's face. "We'll save that for dessert," said Peter. James and Sirius smiled at him,"He knows is so well..." said Sirius, putting a hand to his chest and pretending to cry. James flung his arms around him and pretended to cry as well. Remus rolled his eyes and reached for the chicken. Sirius immediately pulled away from James and growled. Lily looked at him like he was crazy(she wasn't too far off). Remus stared at him in a warning type of way as he glanced over at Madison. She was totally creeped out. Sirius immediatley stopped. "Let's eat," James jumped in. They all nodded and sat down, enjoying a nice meal. By the time everything was finished, everyone was stuffed. Peter unbuttoned the top of his pants. "AWW, MAN!!! NOT HERE!!! NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THAT!!! PUT IT AWAY!!PUT IT AWAY!!" cried Remus. Peter, quite embarrassed now, buttoned the top of his pants agian," Sorry..." Madison moved back to her seat. The sun was setting slowly over the top of the tree house. She leaned back against the wall and stretched her legs out in front of her, crossing her ankles, like Remus did. "The most comfortable position to read in," said Remus as he stood in front of her. By this time, Madison was warming up to everyone and actually speaking*gasp*! She smiled,"And for watching sunsets." Remus looked at her oddly. Madison pointed behind Remus. He spun around. "Wow! That looks so cool," said Remus as he sat down beside Madison. She nodded,"I love nature. Everything is so beautiful. I especially like watching the stars at night..with a full moon in the backround." Remus shuddered. "What's wrong? You don't like star gazing?" He shook his head,"I don't like full moons." Madison nodded,"Why?" "I'll tell you later on." She shrugged,"Alright." On the other side of the treehouse, Lily and James were in deep conversation with Sirius over the Quidditch team and how they'd do this year. "Better than last year is all I can say," said Padfoot(Sirius) "Of course they will! They've always done quite well with you two on the team," said Lily as she looked at them both. James blushed. Sirius pretended to," Oh stop, Lily. Your making me embarrassed." James was about to smack him,but out of the corner of his eye he saw Remus and Madison. Instead of smacking him, he tapped him on the shoulder. "What?" James pointed to Remus and Madison. Sirius turned around. They were sitting there talking to each other, while watching the sunset and holding each other's hands. "Aww...Moony got's a girlfriend now," said Sirius. " He's growing up..."said James, tears actually forming at the corners of his eyes. He quickly blinked them away. James and Sirius had always felt sorry for Remus. It was because of his condition that most girls didn't like him. Once they found out the truth they would ignore him completely. James knew it hurt Remus a lot, although he didn't show it. Sirius was constantly getting girls. Even if he didn't try. Most of them he would just shrug off. But some he was actually committed to. SOME. James had had a few crushes on a couple of girls throughout the years. He actually did date 2 of them. But sadly, things didn't work out. Now, he had his heart in Lily. He couldn't believe he had ignored her for so many years. He hoped things would work out for Remus. "Aww...they look so cute together!" whispered Lily. "Look at them! They're perfect for each other!" James and Sirius looked at each other. "Not for much longer..." said James under his breath. Lily looked at him,"What? What are you talking about?" "Nevermind," said Sirius, shaking his head and turning back around to Lily and James. "Were going to kick some serious as$ this term!" "Here here," said James. Peter was now reading Remus' book, though he didn't understand any of it. The teens talked late into the night. Around 10:00 the phone rang again. Peter jumped up and grabbed it," Hello?" "He totally messed that up," said Sirius as he and James turned around. Remus and Madison looked up at him. Lily shifted over. "Okay, thanks," said Peter as he hung up the phone. "Do we have to go back inside?" asked Lily. Peter shook his head," Some guys named James Clause or something like that is bringing blankets." "It's Jean Claude, you reject!" snapped James. "Oooh, well SORRY Mr. Rich Boy!" joked Sirius. James glared at him. Just then they heard the back door close. Peter looked over the edge of the treehouse. It was Jean-Claude. "He's coming," he told the group. "SO? Go get the blankets!" said Sirius. "Why ME?!" whined Peter. "Because you answered the phone," said James, smiling at Peter. Peter stuck his tongue out at him and changed into a rat. He ran down the tree and hid behind it. As Jean-Claude approached, Peter jumped out from behind the tree. "BOO!" he shouted. This caused Jean to drop the blankets and pillows and cry out. Peter laughed hysterically. "Oh no, look what I've done!" cried Jean as he dove to the ground. "Don't worry about it," said Peter," I've got it," he said as he put his hand out to help Jean up. Jean looked at him and took his hand. "Thank you, Sir!" he said. Peter nodded,"Just go back inside." Jean-Claude nodded and turned and went back inside. James and Sirius had been watching from the treehouse. "Softy," grumbled Sirius as he lowered himself back down. "SHYEAH!" said James as he sat back down beside Remus. Peter grabbed a blanket,"CATCH!!" he yelled up to the people in the treehouse. James leaned over the side of the treehouse," WHAT?! WHAT'D YOU SAY? FETCH?!" Sirius jumped up," Where? Where?! Where's the ball?" Lily stared at him. Sirius slumped back down and scratched his ear. Lily glared at him. "It's a habit..."he told her. Lily nodded,"Yeah, sure it is..." Remus watched the two nit-pick at each other and shook his head," Such children." Madison smiled and leaned onto him. Remus froze. It was after a few moments before he wrapped his arm around her. "You guys coming to join us?" asked Peter. He had now brought up all the blankets and pillows and was setting them up in the middle of the treehouse. "We don't need pillows," said Sirius simply. Everyone looked at him. "Are you stupid?" asked James with a straight face. Sirius smiled,"No. But seriously, only one of us will need a pillow." "How so?" asked Lily. "See, Peter lies down on the pillow, James rests his head on Peter's stomach. Lily rests her head on James' stomach. I rest mine on James. Madison rests her head on mine, and finally, Remus rests his head on Madison." "I hate it when you have these sudden "smart ideas,"" said Remus as he crossed his arms across his chest. Sirius smiled widely at him. "So your telling me I brought all those pillows up here for nothing?!" shrieked Peter. James turned and looked at him,"Basically." Peter groaned and flopped down onto the floor. Lily and James smiled. James layed down and rested his head on Peter. Lily rested hers on James....(and so on) Madison felt as though butterflies were fluttering around in her stomach when Remus layed his head on her. He reached his hand up. Madison took it and held it. He kissed it and layed their hands across his chest. Madison smiled and played with his hair with her other hand. Remus moved closer to her. And together they fell asleep with all their friends. ()()()()()IN A PLACE FAR, FAR AWAY...()()()()() After reading the crystal ball in front of him. The owner of the old, rickity house walked out to his balcony. He raised his hands in the air. "Let this pass here on this day. In another land far away. Two youths bound with love at first sight. Curse them both upon this night. For until one in the triangle moves on in life, Let the two young lives be forever cursed with this strife..." }{P}{P}{P}{P}{P Back at the Potter house, things were quiet restful. At around 7:00 the phone rang. Remus groggily got up and answered it. "'ello..."he said into the receiver. The person on the other end talked to him for a minute and then hung up. Remus dropped the receiver sleepily, letting it hang there by it's cord. He walked back over to the group of kids and layed down on Madison's stomach again. She stirred and opened her eyes,"Who was it?" she asked as she rubbed her eyes. "Mrs. Potter. She says we should start getting up..." Remus fell asleep again with loud snores. Madison giggled and began poking him. At around the 5th time of poking him he grabbed her hand," I know, I know...I'm getting up..." he said as he slowly got up, running a hand through his hair. "It looks good," said Madison, watching him. He looked over at her and smiled," So do you," he said as he leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. Madison blushed. No boy had ever kissed her before. She smiled and sat up. "Time to get the rest up," said Remus as he moved over to Sirius. Madison stuck her arm out to stop him," Wait, let me..." She leaned close to Sirius' ear," Sirius..." she said in a sing song voice,"Sirius...time to wake up..." He stirred,"Not now mum, 5 more minutes..." Madison looked over at Remus. He shrugged his shoudlers. She turned back to Padfoot," I'm a big loser..." she whispered in his ear. "I'm a...loser..." he said groggily. "I smell like a dog..." she said "I...smell... FOOD!!" said Sirius as he immediately sat up and looked around. "Time to get up!" said Remus. "Yeah, yeah, yeah...I'm getting there," asid Sirius as he stretched. "What's the date today?" "September 1st. Hogwarts," replied Remus. "Time?" Remus looked at his watch," Umm...around ten after 7." "We should get the rest of these gits up if we wanna leave in time," said Sirius as he crawled over to the secret stash of firecrackers. He pulled out a medium sized one. Remus grabbed Madison's hand," We better run for it. This is going to be loud." He ran over to the trap door and threw it open, then he stepped back," Ladies first." Madison smiled and climbed onto the ladder. She reached the ground within seconds. Remus came up behind her, Sirius bringing up the rear. "When that goes off won't it--" Madison began. Sirius shook his head,"No, it's one we got from the joke shop.It oly makes a really loud noise. I pointed it so that it goes off just outside of the treehouse." "Smart," said Madison smiling. Sirius looked at his watch," Any second now... Do you like loud noises?" he asked, turning to Madison. "Not partic--" "Better run!" he said as he looked up from his watch, smiling. Madison smiled and ran through the back door, Remus behind her, and yet again, Sirius bringing up the rear. They slammed the door shut. Sirius looked out from the curtains," Three...Two...One...NOW!" Immediately there was a huge BOOM! The house shook slightly. Remus, Madison, and Sirius watched as James sat up and looked over the side of the treehouse, screaming at them. The three inside stood there laughing, this really was a Kodak moment. They couldn't wait for another one. Sirius, Remus, and Madison sat down in the living room, still laughing. They were finally settling down when James came barging through the door. "YOU ARE SO DEAD SIRIUS!!" he shouted as he walked into the living room. Sirius looked at him,"What'd I do?" "YOU D*MN WELL KNOW WHAT YOU DID! I SWEAR I COULD STRANGLE YOU RIGHT NOW!" said James as he lunged for Sirius' neck. Before he could do anything, Remus had jumped off the couch and was holding back his arms," James! Settle down! I was only a joke! You've done that to me and Peter hundreds if times!" "Thousands..." said Peter quitely. James glared at Sirius once more before he pulled away from Remus,"Fine!" he said, crossing his arms. "Let's go eat," said Lily as she put her arm around James' shoulders and began leading him out of the living room into the dining room. Madison got off the couch and followed. Peter walked behind Madison. Remus and Sirius looked at each other and smiled. They gave each other a high five. "That was sweet," said Sirius as he followed the others into the dining room. * Sirius grabbed the other end of James' trunk and helped him get it onto the train and into one of the compartments. "Thanks," said James, as he wiped his hair out of his eyes. Sirius nodded as he went back out to go help Remus with his trunk. Madison and Lily were already sitting in the compartment, talking about the night before. Remus and Peter walked into the compartment just as the train lurched foreward. "Perfect timing," said Peter as he slid the door closed. "It wouldn't have been if Sleeping Beauty and Friends didn't wake up," said Remus. Sirius smiled at him, while James glared at him. "Oh, would you three stop it! Your acting like a bunch of children! It was a harmless little prank! You guys do it all the time to each other! Why is it such a big deal now?" shouted Lily. James looked taken aback. Lily had never screamed before, or did she? "It's a big deal now because you were there this time," said James blushing slightly. "I don't care! I thought it was funny! Now both of you apologize!" said Lily as she crossed her arms. James and Sirius looked at each other and stuck out their hands. They shook them furiously, each of them thinking of their next prank to pull on each other. Lily noticed the look they gave each other,"Oh my God! Can't you even PRETEND to like each other?" James and Sirius looked at each other, then at Lily, they shook their heads. Remus burst out laughing. "I bet you could if you tried," he said. James glared at him," I bet I could beat the sh!t out of you in under a minute..." Remus' eyes widened in horror. "Jokes man, jokes," said James as he stuck out his hand,"Forgive me?" Remus cautiously took James' hand and shook it. Sirius clasped his hands together,"AWW!! They made up! This is so cute! We need to celebrate!" Just then the witch with the trolley opened their door," Anything off the trolley, dears?" The four boys jumped out of their seats,"You couldn't have picked a better time!" said Sirius as he took a handful of chocolate frogs. After at least 15 minutes of buying food of the trolley, the boys returned. Their pockets were full of all these different kinds of treats. From Pumpkin Pastries to chocolate frogs. They dumped all the food into the middle of the compartment and sat around it. "This is for you," said James, smiling proudly. "ALL OF IT?!" replied Madison and Lily in unison. "'Course not!" said Sirius,"We're going to help you." "That's a relief," whispered Lily into Madison's ear. Madison giggled and took a pastry. "What???" asked Peter, his mouth full of toffee. Lily smiled,"Nothing dear Peter continue with your...eating." Peter shrugged and reached over Sirius to grab a chocolate frog," Excuse me, sorry." Sirius glared at him,"You could have asked for me to pass it to you chubby." "Sorry," said Peter as he returned to his spot, opening the frog. "This is kinda boring," said Lily. Sirius looked up," What could be boring? This is food!" Lily rolled her eyes,"Thank you Einstein(sp?)I'm just saying, maybe we should talk about something..." James opened his mouth to say something but Lily cut him off,"That's NOT about Quidditch." James slumped back down and crossed his arms,"You just take the fun out of everything don't you..." he mumbled to himself. "What was that?" asked Lily, eyeing him suspiciously. "Nothing," Peter chimed in. Lily turned to face him,"Was I asking you?" Peter shook his head. Remus jumped in before anyone could say anything else,"Maybe someone could tell a story about something?" Lily's eyes brightened," Madison, you tell amazing stories! Tell these guys one!" Madison blushed,"They're really not..." "Oh come on," said Sirius. "They can't be worse than Remus'," said James. Remus glared at them,"Not funny." James and Sirius smiled,"Yes it was." Remus rolled his eyes and turned back to Madison," Tell us a story, come on, please?" he said as he made big puppy-dog eyes. Madison smiled,he looked so cute,"Fictional or Non- Fictional?" "What does 'fiktonel' mean?" asked Sirius, looking at James. James shrugged his shoulders They both looked at Remus. "It means, do you want to hear a story that's true and that actually happened to Madison, or one that's made up." "OOOH!" said James and Sirius. "I like Fictional," said Peter. "That's great, no one cares," said James jokingly. "Madison is very interesting, I want to hear a non - fictional story," said Lily as she rolled over onto her stomach, her head resting in her hands. Sirius looked at Madison,"Really? Non - fiction sounds good." James shrugged,"Meh, I don't care." Remus moved closer to Madison," Let's hear the story about you. The story of Madison." Madison smiled," OK. I guess." She took a deep breath and sat cross-legged. Remus leaned over and lay down in her lap. She looked down at him and smiled. She played with his hair as she started her story... ADD ADD ADD ADD ADD! pleaz? *********** By the time Madison had finished, Lily was in tears, Sirius and James sat there with their mouths hanging open staring at her, Peter looked like he was on the verge of tears, and Remus hugged Madison. "I feel so sorry for you..."said Sirius shaking his head. "Thank you," said Madison quietly, she was going to burst into tears soon. "Man, I thought my life was bad..."said James,"My life is like heaven compared to yours!" Madison smiled,"Probably." "Both your parents died?" asked Peter. Madison nodded,"Just a couple years ago..." She trailed off. She blinked quickly, holding back the tears. Remus hugged her again," Maybe we should talk about something else now." Lily nodded and wiped away a tear. Just then the compartment door slid open. "We'll be at Hogwarts in 10 minutes," said a blond haired male prefect. "Thanks," replied the group in unison. The prefect left. "Guess we better change before..." James began. He was cut off by the compartment door opening again. They all groaned. *********** Another 5th year walked into the compartment. His name was Lucius Malfoy. Behind him stood his best friend, Severus Snape. "Hey there, idiots! How goes it?" Lucius sneered. James, Sirius, Peter and Remus all stood in a line in front of the girls. "Not bad, freakshow...not bad," said James. "Excellent! So have you guys decided how your going to get the four of you expelled this year?" Snape asked. Lily pushed her way through the boys," NO! THEY HAVEN'T! NOW WOULD YOU JUST LEAVE!" "Oh look! One of you has a girlfriend! Isn't that sweet! Who are you going out with deary?" Lucius asked, crossing his arms. Lily whipped her wand out,"My name is Lily Evans. And I am going out with James. Good day!" Snapes mouth dropped,"L-Lily???" "Yes stupid, it's Lily! Now buzz of!" said Madison, now standing beside Remus. Snape laughed,"And what are you going to--" Before he could finish his sentence, Remus, Madison, Peter, James and Sirius had pulled out their wands and joined Lily in pointing them at Snape and Lucius. ************* ************* The six teens walked into the Great Hall and sat down at their table, in the direct middle. Lily, James, and Peter sat on one side. Remus, Madison, and Sirius sat on the other. "I've been waiting for this for a long time..." said Sirius, rubbing his hands together. Everyone rolled their eyes at him. "What??? I HAVE!" he said defensively. "YOU JUST ATE!" said Remus, shaking his head slighty. "Your point?" said Sirius picking up his fork and knife. Madison smacked his hand, making him drop his utensils,"We haven't even started the sorting yet! Be patient." Sirius sighed heavily and leaned onto the table. His fists were clenched and he put one on top of the other. He put his head on top, blowing a piece of stray hair out of his face. "I hate this part..." he mumbled as the doors to the Great Hall were flung open and a line of young, nervous, students walked in. ********** Youcan erase this if you want to but keep writing !-Delacour ********** With Professor McGonagall leading the way, the students marched up to the teachers table and crowded around it. Before them stood a stool with an old witch hat on it. "When I call your name, you will step forward, I will place the sorting hat on your head, and you will then join your new house," said McGonagall as she began unrolling a long piece of parchment. }{P}{P}{P}{PChapter 2}{P}{P}{P}{P}{P Dumbledore looked at all the frightened children over the rim off his half moon spectacles. His eyes twinkling with laughter. So many young children, so frightened to be here. He picked up his goblet of pumpkin juice, and leaned back in his chair as McGonagall read off the first name. "Anden, Olivia." A small, pale, girl with wavy black hair approached the stool, shaking like a leaf. She sat down and McGonagall put the hat on her head, or rather, over her head. There was a moments silence. "AH HA!" The girl shreaked and jumped off the stool. McGonagall kindly placed her hands on the girls shoulders and lowered her back down. "I see....hmm...rather curious aren't we...a tad scared...I believe that's enough...HUFFLEPUFF!" the hat shouted. The girl smiled and jumped off the stool, she put the hat back on it and McGonagall pointed to where she was supposed to go. Then she opened the parchment again. "Baloo, Mustaqeem," said said. A small, dark boy with black hair approached. He sat down and McGonagall placed the hat on his head. "I know where to put you from what I saw...you'd do well in RAVENCLAW!!!" The boy jumped off and ran over to the table. And the 6 teens sat there for the next 30 minutes as... "Cameron, Kevin." "RAVENCLAW!" "Taylor, Johnathan." "HUFFLEPUFF!" "Ramiraz, Melissa." "GRYFFINDOR!" "Finnagan, Mark." "SLYTHERIN!" Proffesor McGonagall rolled up the parchment , picked up the stool, and walked off the stage. The Gryffindor's had a few new people, none of them recognized any of them. Dumbledore than stood up. "I hope all the new students are happy to be here, as I am. Some of your have returned for another fun-filled year, with the occasional pranks..." he said this as he looked over at the Marauders. They all looked away, whistling to themselves. Dumbedore smiled,"And now I have a few start of the year announcments. First, I strictly remind you all, that the Forbidden Forest is completely off limits. As is anywhere near the Whomping Willow..." James and Sirius looked over at Remus. He sighed heavily, looking quite depressed. Only the Marauders knew why. "...And finally, 5 words which some of you will take to heart...EAT, DRINK, AND BE MERRY!" "AMEN TO THAT!" shouted James and Sirius as tons of food appeared on their plates. Their was roast chicken, Ham, Lamb, Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Cauliflour(sp?) and cheese sauce, rice, peas, carrots, cucumber... The list went on and on. James and Sirius took a bit of everything. Peter, took everything but the peas and ham. Lily had some ham and mashed potatoes with some peas. Madison had chicken and rice, with gravy. "How do you guys live off that?" asked James as he took a bite of his turkey. "That's bird food." Madison and Lily shrugged and continued eating. And they ate, and ate, and MY GOD they ate some more. Once the tables had cleared, Dumbledore stood up again. "Now that we are all fed and watered. think it is time for a restful night sleep. You will have the next two days off, lessons will begin on Monday. OFF YOU GO!" The students got up from the table. And began walking up to their dormitories. "Do you guys want to have a couple games of Exploding Snap?" asked Peter. "Sounds good," said James. "I'm in," said Sirius. "What about you guys?" asked Remus, looking over at Lily and Madison as they all walked down the hall. "Sure, I'll play," said Lily as she held onto James' hand. "What about you Madison?" asked Sirius. "Su--" she quickly looked out the passing window," What time is it?" she asked turning to Remus. He looked at his watch," Almost 9, why?" Madison looked out the window again, she began to feel the sudden urge to be outside...up high." I...erm...I...uhh...I have to go. I'm sorry. I see you guys later," she called as she broke away from the group and began sprinting down the hall in the other direction. Remus turned to Lily," What's with her?" Lily shrugged as they continued walking. They went into the Gryffindor common room and sat down. They were there for a good hour playing Exploding Snap and Wizard's Chess. Moony had lost every game. His mind was elsewhere. Madison still hadn't come back. He had the feeling there was something she wasn't telling him. ************ keep adding! this story rox! ************ At around 11:00 Lily, James, Peter, Sirius, and Remus began heading off to bed. "I wonder where Madison is?" asked Remus. "I don't know, I'm getting kinda worried," said Sirius. "Me too," said James."Maybe something happened to her..." Everyone was silent after this. They got to the top of the stairs. "Goodnight you guys," said Lily as she kissed them all on the cheek. "'Night," said Peter, blushing. "See you tomorrow," said Sirius. "Goodnight, love you," said James as he kissed her back. "Sleep well," said Remus. Lily turned and walked into the girls dormitories. She waved one last time before closing the door. The boys waved back and then headed up to their dorm. Lily crept into the room. She turned on her light and opened her trunk. She put on her pyjama's, navy blue with yellow shooting stars, and walked over to the window. She flung it open, enjoying the cool breeze against her flushed face. That common always got quite warm at night. She smiled and stared outside. Nothing was happening so she turned and climbed into bed. Lily was just rearranging the sheets when a magnificent hawk came flying in and landed smack dab in the middle of her bed. It was beautiful, a lovely arrangement grey, brown and black flecks went all through it's feathers. Lily reached out cautiously, in hopes to pet it. Surprizingly, the bird hopped closer and playfully nipped at her fingers. Lily laughed and stroked it's head. "Your amazing," whispered Lily. The bird flew over to Madison's bed and nestled down into the pillow. It tucked it's head under it's wing and fell asleep. "Speaking of Madison," Lily thought to herself," where is she?" she shrugged and fell asleep. * The next morning Lily, James, Remus, Sirius, and Peter headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast. They walked through the doors and to their surprise, found Madison sitting there. She looked kinda tired. Her head was laying on her arm on the table and she was picking at her food with her fork, not actually eating it. Remus sprinted towards her, everyone else followed closely behind. Remus reached the table first. "WHERE WERE YOU?!" he shouted. "- STAYED UP ALL NIGHT!" "-SCARED THE SH!T OUT OF ME!" "Madison, where were you last night," said Lily calmly, sitting down beside Madison and putting an arm around her. Madison sat up. She was crying. Her eyes were slightly red, her cheeks were a shade of pink. She wiped away a tear that had begun falling down her face and sniffed. "Guys...I have to tell you something..." said Madison, tears coming to her eyes once again. Remus put an arm around her, while everyone else sat down on the bench beside her. "I c-can't tell you r-right now. Not in here. T-There's too many people," whispered Madison. "That's okay, let's go outside," suggested Lily. Everyone nodded in agreement and got up from the table. Sirius and James took a bunch of food, hiding it in their robes. The six headed towards the front entrance and went outside. It was a beautiful day. There were only a few clouds, the sun was shining brightly. "Where do you want to sit?" asked Peter. "Let's go over to the trees by the lake," suggested Sirius. "Sounds good," said Lily as she guided Madison by the shoulders towards the area. They found the biggest tree and sat underneath it in a circle. "So...what's the matter?" asked James. "Yeah Madison, what did you want to tell us?" said Remus. Everyone stared at Madison. She looked from one face to the other. "I can't...I can't tell you all like this. I can only tell Lily. If she wants to tell you that's fine, but I can't do it." Everyone but Lily groaned. Lily got up," Common, come tell me over here." She said as she grabbed Madison's hand and pulled her over to another set of trees. "What is it? What's wrong?" asked Lily, her face full of concern. "Lils, Last night... I-I turned into a hawk..." |
