This is the first in a series of (most likely) 7, (of course, I might want to combine them into three, or one or something like that. I typed this mostly on my computer, since I am now restricted to internet usage for awhile, so I typed this on my computer then copied it on my computer. I saw that a whole lot of other people had Lily and James stories, so I decided to start my own�so, here it is. (warning: 23 typed pages)
Lily, a beautiful girl, with a crush, on a boy named Orion O�Mury. She and Him go off to Hogwarts where she meet new people from other wizarding families, until one of them turns out to be into some Dark Magic
James, a wizard boy with a crush on a girl, only she likes someone else�(hmm�er�not mentioning any names�) then he sees some mysterious things happening around the school, and begins to wonder if it had anything to do with the three kids that where wondering around the school on their first night there.

Chapter One; Accepted
Lily came from an all wizarding family (I know that in the books it says she�s a muggle born) her sister, Petunia, was a squib though. Petunia attended a private school while lily would go to Hogwarts. Her Parents where very Proud of her. She got her letter and immediately sent out an owl to her best friend, Orion. She had known him for the longest time. At the school she was attending before she had gotten her letter they had taken all of the same classes and had lockers next to each other. People would say they where "going out" but they just laughed at the fact. They didn't care. She heard back from him the next day. He was going to Hogwarts too.

This is going to be the best year we will ever have! I can't wait to go! I know that your parents aren't wizards, so you can come with me to get your school supplies!! Oh this is going to be soo much fun!

Chapter Two: A Binding Kiss
On September 1st Lily and Orion got to the Kings Cross Station and loaded on to the train. Orion was fascinated by all of the magical things surrounding him. Lily laughed as he ate a Chocolate frog. They laughed and giggled (and flirted) most of the way to Hogwarts. About an hour into the ride, a boy with wild black hair walked into Lily�s and Orion�s car. "Hello" he held out his hand for Orion to shake. "I�m James Potter.�
"Hello James, I'm Orion"
James noticed lily "Orion, who is this lovely girl? Is she your sister, you two look a lot alike.�
"No, she's just my friend.�
"I�m Lily Evans.�
**JUST friends? Well, I hope they stay that way, I�m going to have that girl!!** James thought
"Well, see you at Hogwarts then" and James walked out the door.
~~~~~~Meanwhile IN THE NEXT CAR~~~~~~~~~
"So, James, did you ask her?� Sirius said.
"No, she had company.�
"Who??" asked Remeus
"A boy called Orion"
"NO!! You just chickened out!" Petter said.
" I did not!! You go look for yourself!"
"We will! right??" Sirius said. The three of them, Petter, Sirius, and Remeus walked into the next car.
"We have got company again lily.� Orion said.
"Hello.� Lily said
"Hi, I'm Sirius, and you are....?"
"Lily Evans, and this is my friend Orion O'Mury.�
"Irish, eh? I�m Remeus Lupin.�
"and I�m Petter Pettigrew.�
"We were just introducing ourselves, see you at Hogwarts!" Sirius said.
They walked back to their own compartment and decided to play some wizarding chess

"Strange isn't it, the way people just keep coming into out compartment?" Orion said
"It is. Well, I guess they just like being friendly" lily said.
They sat back and looked out the window for a moment. Then all of a sudden Orion leaned foreword and pecked lily on the check and said, "no matter what you do, will you always be my girl?"
"Always Orion.�
Chapter Three; The Sorting and a Thing Never Done Before
James watched the whole thing. He thought that most of the time, muggle inventions where quite stupid and pointless. However, he did find use for the tiny cameras. He scowled. "Darn it! That Orion just claimed her!"
"James, its not as if you where really going to go out with her! Remember that it was just a joke, to see what she said! Besides, all you know about her is her name!� Sirius said.
"Yeah, I guess your right" but secretly, he had already fallen in love with her.

The trains ride continued for another hour. Finally, they got to Hogwarts. Lily and Orion got into a boat with two other people. Rhiannon, a girl with long blonde hair, and Apolla irl with bright skin and brown hair. They introduced themselves and rowed across the lake to get their first glimpse of Hogwarts. James and his friends where in two separate boats. James and Sirius in one, and Remeus and Petter in the other. They where racing across to get there fist. James rowed to far to the left when passing a boat and slammed into the boat with Rhiannon, Apolla, Orion and Lily in it.
"Oh! Sorry" James said as the boat rocked and almost tipped over. He continued with out a back glance at them. James and Sirius won the race. However, he lost lily as a friend. Lily had decided that she wasn't going to associate her self with someone who thought everything was a joke.
Orion laughed. He started rowing faster himself as soon as the boat stopped rocking. Orion liked that Potter guy.
~~~At Hogwarts~~~
"Okay class, welcome to Hogwarts, the Sorting ceremony will proceed momentarily" said Professor McGornagal. "Oh! Orion! We have to get into the same house.�
Lily had already explained the whole set up of Hogwarts, it was as if he was a pure-blood, knowing magic all of his life.
Professor McGornagal returned and told them to follow her into the great hall.
"When I call your name, please set forward and place the hat on you head.�
(Not in alphabetical order! and not every one is in this sorting)
"Rhiannon Barns.�
Rhiannon stepped forward, a little nervous and put the hat on her head. She sat there a moment, then it yelled
"Ravenclaw!"
She ran off and sat with the Ravenclaws.
"Apolla Blackburn� Apolla ran up and put the hat on her head. Not long after it screamed "GRYFFINDOR!" Apolla ran off and sat with the Gryffindors.
"Sirius Black!"
Not soon after he put the hat on his head it screamed "Gryffindor!"
She went down the list until she got to Lupin.
"Remeus Lupin"
He sat there for quite awhile. But nevertheless, he got put in Gryffindor.�
"Stevie Nicks!"
Stevie was a girl with pale skin and long sunshine hair. She went up and was put in Gryffindor.
"Cristine Oloneski.�
"HUFFLEPUFF"
Lucios Malfoy!"
"Slytherin.�

lily ran off to the Gryffindors and sat with Stevie and Apolla

he baerly put the hat on his head when it screamed "GRYFFINDOR!"
He ran over to Lily and she moved over to let him sit beside her.
"Petter Pettigrew"
He ran up and put the hat on his head. He sat there for exactly 13 minutes and 16 seconds, (Orion stated timing it after 5 minutes, so, that # is probably a little higher)
Finally the sorting hat said"okay, well, i give up, Gryffindor"
then James Potter was called up.
He sat there for only a moment and it called "Gryffindor!"

There where several more students when finally Artemis Swarm was called up and put in Gryffindor.
James sat down next to Orion. They started talking about different things. Their familys, where they came from. Then Orion walked away to a corner with Remeus, Sirius, Petter and James. Lily had no clue what they where taling about and got herself aquanted with Artemis, Stevie, Apolla, and Reina. Stevie was from the US, but her parents wanted her to get the best possible education, so they sent in a letter to Dumbledore asking hm if he would accept her even though she came form the US, then she got her letter and she was very pleased. Apollas Family cam from Greece, they had moved to England when she was only one. And Artemis Swarm was accually her cousin, they had all moved at the same time. Reina was from Spain, but like Apolla and Artemis, her family had moved too! She was the only one who had been native borned in England.
****The corner with The guys.*****
" so, were all in Gryffindor!" James said. Orion could tell that this group went WAY back together.
"So, Orion, want to hang out with us. I could tell that your new to the wizarding world, but ya know, it will be fun! Think of all the pranks we can accomplish! i mean, five super-clever guys like us could pull off anything!" Sirius said.
"sure! sounds like fun!" Orion said.
"okay, lets start off this year with a bang!" Remeus said.
"like," Petter said with a devios smile "a smelly bang?!" he pulled out a sack of dung bombs?
"Cool!" said Orion.
"Everyone take one and throw one at each table" James said.
They all troew one. Smoke was everywhere. People started screaming and yelling. Not long after Dumbledore appeared behind the boys. He was laughing at least. "You like to start the year off on a bad foot don't you" he chuckled. "Well, as long as you clean up the stench, i won't punish you" he said and walked away. A few m,oments later he called out to everyone "Since some of us prefear this smell, those who wish to continue eating down here, please do so, and for the majority of you who would like to leave, the remander of the meal will be sent up to your dormitories. Prefects will lead the way please."
*****Lily�s Point of view*****
Just as the first course was ending there was a loud bang and the room filled with smoke. Before she knew it She was being lead away by the Prefect to her common room. She looked around to see where Orion was. He wasn't there thogh! She also relized that Potter, Lupin, Pettigrew, and Black where also missing. She ran off and sat with Artemis, Apolla, Reina and Stevie.
"Have you seen that Pettigrew kid? he was sitting at the Sorting hat for about 20 minutes!!" Apolla said
"I know! did you see that Lucios Malfoy kid? He is creepy!"Reina said.
�Yeah, he was soo creepy� Stevie said
�I bet he is into all sorts of Dark Art stuff� Lily put in.
�He�s gonna be the first to be expelled.� Artemis said.
�I bet it was him who put off the dung or stink or whatever bomb it was.� Apolla said.
Just then the 5 boys walked in triumphantly. All with smug looks on their faces. �How was THAT for a beginning of the year prank� Black said.
�Just try to beat that!� Lupin said.
�We are good. The masters! No body better.� Potter said. All of the common room burst into applause for them. Orion smiled sheepishly and walked over to Lily. �Orion O�Murray! What where you thinking!�
�Lily, you sound like my mom! �
�Okay, sorry, but, well, er, oh! Never mind!� she said.
Chapter Four: A potential danger, and perhaps blackmail
�We are sooooo good� Black said as the five of them started to air out the stench with a wind charm. But that wasn�t the only thing that needed cleaning. In the confusion the tables had been knocked over and food was everywhere. They had to clean that up by hand. It didn�t take that long though. Soon they where walking back up to the common room. On there way back up though, James caught sight of Aurther Weasly and Molly Schwormen walking down the halls. They where both in Gryffindor. They where in their third year though. Aurther wasn�t one who liked pranks though. The Weaslys where a well known wealthy wizarding family. He also thought he saw Lucios Malfoy! What was that creep doing out of the common room?? Dumbledore had given them a pass to go back to the common room, but what was he doing out of bed?? Then he saw Crabbe and Goyle!! He tapped Black on his shoulder and pionted over to where the three where standind, then he wispered "Me and You, invisibility cloak"
After they got back James said to everyone "Well, im soo tired, pulling off great pranks takes a lot out of you!"
"yeah, same here" Black said.
"I think I'm going to stay up a little longer. You know, read a little, so im not so lost on the forst day of classes." Lupin said.
"Oh, im going to slep too", said Pettigrew.
Jame and Black and Pettigrew walked up to the boys room and found their belongings at the end of the bed. Pettigrew changed and was asleep in moments. James and Sirius Quickly got under the invisibility cloak andwaited for lupin to open the dorm room door. then they walked over to the portirt hole and lupin opened it up and crawled through saying he need to get a book from the library. Then James and Black made their decentdown the stairwell. they quickly found the three slytherines. They where reading a book about the Dark Arts!!
"can you read the title on the book" James said. "yeah, its 'The Dark Arts, Evil Do-ers and Power seekers' " Sirius said. " I don't think that book is allowed in this school!"
"yeah, at Hogwarts the teach the DEFENCE against it, but not the real thing."
"YOu think we should report them??"
"nah" james said "we could blackmail"
Chapter Five; A Diary Entry
Orion Went to his dorm, and Lily to hers. There, she unpacked and got out her Notebook. It wasn't really a diary, she had a seperate notebook for that. In her, as she called it, Book of Dreams, she recorded thoughts. All of a sudden a beautiful "thought" would come to her. The one she was writting down know was "she ignored the call of the night birds cry" Eventually she would peice different "thoughts" together and turn them into a poem. In her Book of Dreams she aslo drew pictures to explain her feelings. Then when she was done, she took out her diary
***Date September 1,(im not quite sure about the year that they went to school)
~~~~Hey, its me again.
Today i took the train to Hogwarts. Orion came too, not Petunia though, she's a squib, its soo sad though. I met so many people today!! Reina, Artemis, her cousin Apolla and Stevie where all in my house, Gryffindor! plus the boys who where sorted into our house, Orion, Potter, Black, Pettigrew, and Lupin. The Great Hall was just as mother explained it! Grand and Marvoelus. Only, the boys set off a dung bomb half way through the meal. I can't wait for lessons to start on Monday! I can't wait to have Charms class either!! it by far sounds like the best class! That or Transfiguration!

Chapter 6; A Way to get back
"Lupin! Their studing the Dark Arts!" James said to Lupin.
"I can't believe it!" Black said for the thousanth time.
"Wheres Peter? We have got to tell him about this!"
"He's in bed still" Lupin said.
"Man, its noon! I could never sleep in that late!" Black said.
Just then Peter came down from the boys room yawning. "About time you woke up!" Lupin said to Peter.
"Oh! i wasn't sleeping, I over heard yo, so i cwas brewing this Truth Potion to get the Truth out of those evil-do-ers"
"well done" Lupin said
"We can't use it yet though, we only say them reaing the book, they wheren't accually doing anything" sid James.
"Yeah, well, they could, i bet that that book has every evil curse out there, including the Unforgivables" Black said.
"Shh! were not even supposed to know about those curses yet" said Peter. The four of them had been doiong sum research of their own before they had come to Hogwarts.

All the Griffindors, since they all had to take the same classes had the same schedual. She started to explain the teachers to Orion.

"Okay, so we have double potions with the slytherins at 1 o'clock, we can watch them then, maybe even mention something, you know, drop someclues to let them knw we're on to them, that we know their researching the Dark Arts." James said.
�Yeah, but that�s all we know!� Remus said.
�So we will have to find them again tonight.� Black said
�We�re coming this time� Remus said.
�yeah, but, should we include Orion in this? We�re the only other boys his age in this house, and Lily has her new friends, so, he must fell kind of left out,� Peter said.
�I was just thinking that.� James said.
�I say we let him come� black said.
�Okay, we�ll ask him later.� James said
Chapter 7; Charms and More
Charms was wonderful for Lily, she was the only one who could levitate anything! It wasn't just feathers, but desks, and even professor flitwich!
"Look everyone! Lily has mastered this charm in our first lesson! pay close attention mr. potter, you haven't even got your feather levitating, and don't laugh mr. black, i don't see you levitating your feather either." flitwich said.
It was true, James hadn't been able to float anything. Lily giggled when Flitwich embarassed Potter and Black, but Orion made her stop. Obviosly he was becoming good friends with these four. "hey, don't laugh they're trying!" he told her, then he looked over at Fltwick, he was helping Peter Pettigrew. So, Orion leaned over and kissed her on the cheek.

James saw this all, because, unlike flitwich, he was looking. He wasn't going to make a big deal about it yet. Orion was just one of her old friends. Besides, Orion was one of his friends now. After class he walked up to Orion. "hey! Orion! was it just me, or did you kiss a certain girl in there??"
"You, er, saw, It wasn�t really anything, she�s my friend�
�Are you sure?� Black teased him.
�How long have you known her� James asked, he was really curios. After all, he did have a small crush on Lily, she was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. Even more beautiful then the Unicorn that his father and him had seen when walking in their backyard when he was five.
�My whole life, she�s my neighbore back home� Orion said
darn it, I don�t have a chance James thought. If she�s known him forever though, she would know all of his secrets, their wouldn�t be anything for him to learn about her, so, it wouldn�t work out in the long run, so there�s still hope for me!
�Are you sure that that is right though? Imean, she�s your best friend, what whould happen if something happened to your relationship, and she no longer loved you, what would happen to your friendship?� Lupin said as they walked down the corridore to their next class, transfiguration.

When they got there they all took a seat, in this order, James the first row, farthest to the left, going down the row to the right was Black, Pettigrew, Lupin, Orion then Lily. Lily took out her quill and immediately started taking the notes that where written on the board. Orion gazed at her, lost in her beauty. Then behind Lily someone tapped her on the shoulder. It was Rhiannon, the Girl who was on the boat with them when they first arrived, next to her sat Catty Murray, another Raven claw, Then, to their right was Apolla and Artemis, Stevie sat right behind Rhiannon., and Reina was right beside her. Their where other Ravenclaw girls too mixed in with the bunch, Chelsea, Elizabeth and Eritha. The 10 of them all sat right by eachother and where deep in conversation.
�Did you see that cute 5th year?�
�no! how cute was he?�
�like to die for�
�oh! Lily tell them what happened in charmes�
�You saw�
�yeah! Just about the whole class did!�
�Well��
�oh! Come on Lil, you can tell us!�
�Iff you don�t tell them , I will!�
�ok, fine, Orion,�
�you mean the cute one at the opposite end of the class room?� (okay, if you weren�t paying attention, she�s talking about James)
�no, the one, er, beside me!�
�yes, what did he do?�
Just then Professor McGornagal walked in the room. Lily quickly wrote down the �kissed me� on a piece of parchment and handed it back to the rest of the girls. Every time the note was passed to another girl, you heard a �Om!� or a gasp.
�I didn�t know that Transfiguration was worth giggling over girls! I know it isn�t, so, who has the note?� Professor McGornagall said in her strict voice. She glanced around and saw Chelsea holding the note, she quickly snatched it up and read the two words written on it. She crumpled it up and said �I�ll get to this later, then she continued on with the class.

James sat down at his seat. Immediately he looked over to take a glance at Lily, she was deep in conversation with some of her friends. He heard them giggling and wondered what they where talking about, then he diverted his attention back to his friends. Some guys from Ravenclaw where sitting behind him. He quickly got aquanted with Sean, Patrick, Dan, Matt, and Mike. Dan was from Greece as well as Artemis and Apolla ( Artemis was his GOOD, and I mean GOOD friend.) then they started to chat about other things.
�so, I have about thirty Dumbledore, any one have Cleopatra�I don�t think in the books they mention har as a witch, but I always thought of her as one, so, you know, and hey, this is my story)
�yeah, I have her, but I got Dumbledore already, do you have a Zeke?�
�Zeke?�
�yeah, he was a famous animagus. He was the only known wizard able to turn into more then one animal. He could turn into a wolf, and a bird.�
�Oh! I think I got one of those!�
�really? Could you let me see?�
�oh! Sure!�
�yeah! That�s him! Would you trade?�
�sure, let me see your cards. Hmm, no, I have all of these. What I really want is a Helga Huffelpuff, shes the only one of the Hogwarts four I don�t have.�
�oh! I have doubles of her, here, I�ll trade you my helga huffelpuff for your Merlin, then you could trade the Helga Hufflepuff for his Zeke, then we�d all be happy�

Just then Professor McGornagall Walked in the door and class began. Every Few moment though, James heard a gasp and continued giggling, he wondered what it was about. Then Professor McGornagall said �I didn�t know that Transfiguration was worth giggling over girls! I know it isn�t, so, who has the note?� Then she looked a Ravenclaw girl and grabbed a note out of her hand, looked at it, blushed, then said �I�ll deal with this later� then continued on with class.
When class ended, James was a little annoyed. Lily had always answered the questions, Professor McGornagall hadn�t even called on him once during the class to answere a question, well, accually, she had, but he got the answer wrong. He also wanted to know what the note had said. Obviously all of the girls in both Ravenclaw and Gryffindor knew, but he didn�t, and he wanted to know so badly. Normally he wouldn�t care, but he had distintivly saw one of the Ravenclaw girls point over at him and giggle. He was almost positive that the note was about him. He made a mental note to causally bring up the subject later to lily. He smiled, he would also be getting closer to her, he hadn�t realy had a real conversation with her yet since the train ride. He continued on to Herbology.
Chapter 8; Herbology, Lunch and a Date
Lily Said goodbye to Rhiannon, Catty, Elizabeth, Chelsea and Eritha as she headed on to Herbology and they went to History of Magic. �see you later, and don�t go trying anything crazy tonight!� Catty yelled at Lily. Lily liked Catty, she was daring and outgoing. She liked pulling off pranks and the such. She was very perky. Rhiannon was cool too. Always up-to-date on the gossip and trends. A very Up-ity person. Elizabeth was kind of the medium between the two. Chelsea was a singer wanna be, a singer should-a-be. She had a fantastic voice. She was the One who asked if it was James who had kissed her during Charms class. Eritha was a girl who was very goergous. Like drop dead! She had the perfect complextion, perfect body, perfect long strawberry-blond her that fell just above her waist and had the perfect wave and bounce to it. She liked these girls. They where a lot nicer then the girls at her old parochial school. She had attended a private school for the people in her well-to-do neighborhood. Then she walked out the doors and over to the green house where Herbology was going to take place. She sat on a stool next to Artemis. On Artemis�s right was Apolla, followed by Stevie and Reina. On the Opposite side of the long table was Orion, to his right was James, Lupin, Black, and Pettigrew.
�So girls, what was all the giggling about in Transfigureation about?� Black said.
��Nothing!� all of them said at once, too fast.
�Oh, really, well, a whole lotta nothing obviously caught the teachers attention, and was important enough to put into ink.� Lupin said.
�Seriosly, if it had concerned you, we would have passed the note on to you gus. Besides, even if you did get the note, you wouldn�t understand what it was about since it only had two words on it.� Stevie said.
�Exactly, you missed the whole 130 words that came before it!� Reina said.
�You counted?�Pettigrew said.
�No, it was just a guess!� Artemis said.
�I think I know what those two words where.� James said, sitting back, feeling sure about himself. He was confident that those two words where James Potter.
�oh really? Im sure you do, uh-huh, yeah, right, you don�t know, nor will you ver guess what they where� Apolla said.
�I do, in fact, know what they where� James said. He needs to get over himself lily thought.
�Oh, really, then, what where they?� Lily said.
�He doesn�t need to tell you, because then you will wonder how he found out, if the note was never passed to him. And he is not going to share his little magical secrets with you.� Lupin said.
�ok, whatever you say� Stevie said �he doesn�t know�
�I know he doesn�t� Artemis said
�He�s all talk, don�t buy a word he says� Reina said.
�I never intended too, never have, never will� Apolla said.
�He seriously needs to get over himself.� Lily said.
Then Professor Sprout appeared in the doorway. �Hello class! Welcome to your first lesson in Herbology. This is the class where you will learn all of the magical properties of plants. You will need these skills when in Potions class too, and when you try to make your own potions, those who are really enthusiastic. Now wee will start by Helping Madam Pomfrey, she needs more enchanted choclete for the sick and unhealthy.�

�yes then, Lily, what is it you�d like to know?�
�well, this is only the first day of the term, how may ill people are their?�
�oh! Dear, there are none, yet, but there will be, the cold and flu season starts awfully soon, Madam Pomfrey just wants to get a head start this year. So, as I was saying, you will each have to pick off the cocoa beans from the cocoa trees.�

�yes, since mr. black already knows how to pick cocoa beans, he may go over to the next green house and start, someone as skilled as he should get a head start instead of wasting time in hear. So, Mr. Black, I will equip you with three trees, I want you to go over to the next green house and start. I want all of the beans off of every tree. Go on, get moving.� And she shoved him out the door. Lily, looked over at him and saw he was having a great bit of difficulty already.
�Now class, in order to get the beans off, you must tickle the tree. Tickle it right where the trunk separates into two branches, it will laugh. Make sure though that it skakes with laughter, then quickly while it is still laughing, pluck as many beans off as you can. ThenBegin Tickling again. If you try to pull off the beans while it is not laughing, it will snap at you.� Just as she said that there was a �OUCH! It bite me!� coming from the next green house. �like I said, make it laugh� she said to the class. Pretty soon the whole green house was filled with laughter. And the next green house was full of �ouch!� and �ouaw!� and other sounds of pain.
The process itself was more tricky then Professor sprouts had said. Keeping it laughing while icking beans was easier said then done. Lily was slapped at least 3 times. And everyone else was slapped quite a bit too. By the end of the class, everyone had picked at least one entire tree, except for Sirius. Professor Sprouts called him back in �now, Mr. Black, are you going to think twice about commenting on the difficulty of a task? Or interrupt me again?�
�no, ma�am�, he said.
�then why don�t I sendyou up to Madam Pomfrey to have those cuts taken care off, you�ll only miss about 5 minutes of lunch�
Then Black walked up to the hospitle wing.
The bell rang and everyone walked up to the Great Hall to have lunch. When they got there Evryone else was seated. The Gryffindor first years walked in and took there seats. Not long after Black walked in. �Didn�t miss anything� Lupin told Black. Then, Dumbledore stood up and tapped his glass. Everything immediately went scielent.
�Attention please� he said, although it was unnessesary, since he already had evryones attention. � I have an announcement to make. There will be a beginning of the year ball, it has been held annually for fifty years, there will be no misbehaving, or it will not make it to the 51st year. So behave. Is that clear?� he gave a stern look to two 6th years at the Ravenclaw table. Then he continued on. �You are to wear either a dress or a tux. It will this Friday at 6 o�clock until midnight. 7th years though, it will continue for you until 1:30, since this is your last year. Thank you, that is all.�
�Oh! A dance! I can�t wait. I am glad that I packed a dress!� Reina said.
�I know! My mother told me I would be needing one! I din�t know why though! I am glad I listened to her though!� Apolla said.
�Oh! I will have a chance to show off my new dance moves� Stevie said.
��Oh! Darn it! I forgot my dress!� Artemis said.
Just then Dumbledore stood up and said �I forgot to mention a little easy magic, a charm that Profesor Flitwick made up. Lafloda can be used to abtain a dress or tux. Simply draw a picture of the dress or tux you would like, point your wand at it and say lafloda. That is all, again� Then he sat down and continued eating.
�That Dumbledore is one brilliant man! He thinks of everything!� Lily said
Just them Orion, James, Sirius, Peter and Remus walked over to the girls.
�Good Afternoon ladies,� James said. �I have noticed that there is five of us, and five of you. Making five couples for the Gryffindor 1st years. Whichone of you would like to go with the wonderfull James Potter?� he said.
All of the girls just sat there looking back and forth at eachother. Finally Stevie said �We will think about your offer, but nothing more.�
Then Reina spoke up �I would very much like it if Lupin would go with me� Remus blushed, then said �sure.�
�Well, that�s one couple� James said. Then he looked at Lily, �Lily, would you like to go with me?�
�no, I�m going with someone else�
�someone already asked you?� he said dumbfounded.
�no, I just assumed that Orion and I would be going together� she said.
�yeah, that�s what I thought to!� Orion said. �so, er, lily, would you like to go with me?�
�Sure, I would love to� she said to Orion.
The rest of them eventually paired up. Artemis with Black. Reina with Lupin. Apolla with Peter and Stevie with James. Jmaes wasn�t to happy about this, but, he would find a way to get Lily.
Chapter 9; Potions, Slytherins and Secrets

After lunch she went to the girls bathroom. She walked in and saw three slytherins! Male Slytherines! What where they doing in here, she quickly hid behind the door and wathced them. They were reading from some book! Then she saw a cauldron! They where brewing a potion!. She snuck out of the bath room and ran into some kid with greasy black hair. "sorry," she said and kept on running.

After lunch they made their way down to the dungeons for double Potions with the slytherins. The three boys, Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle where there already, along with a fourth boy that James didn�t know. James leaned over to Orion and said to him �see those four boys over there, Black and I saw three of them reading a book about the Dark Arts, we where planning on getting out of bed tonight and spying on them using my invisibility cloak, want to come with us?�
�Sure� he said and took his seat in the dungeon. James, Black, Pettigrew, Lupin and Orion sat in the Second row on the right hand side of the Dungeon, with Lily, Reina, Artemis, Apolla and Stevie in the front row. Then Professor Knocturn walked in. He was an older man, graying and wrinkling. He looked to be almost on his death bed. He simply said �take out your books and read about gillyweed. I would like a two page report on Gilly weed and its uses by tomorrow.� Then he sat down in his chair and fell asleep. Soon the class was in an uproar. Kids talking and chatting. James walked over to Malfoy and his friends. �Hello Malfoy, who are your friends?�
�None of your concern, now is it, Potter?�
�I wa just asking, Malfoy�
�Fine, if you have to know, this is Crabbe, Goyle and Snape.� He said.
�I didn�t see Sanpe last night.�
�What do you mean, �last night�?� Malfoy asked.
�You sure get suspicios fast� Black said.
�Well, of course he does. With you four already waltzing around as if you own the school, did the head master even punish you, Potter� Snape said.
�He�s got a point, now if the four of us had tried to do something like that, surely we would have gotten introuble.� Crabbe said.
Just then Katie and Lucy Knoll walked over. They were identical twins. �Hello Lucios, aren�t we looking good today� Katie said �And Snape too, oh! Severus, you are a cute one� Lucy said. Then two other Slytherin girls walked over and the four girls walked awat with their catch in tow.
�Their on to us� Lupin said.
�How can they be, they didn�t see us� James said.
�Argh! Duh! Of course they couldn�t see us!� Black said.
�that�s what I mean!� James said. �But how could they be on to us?�
�James, I�m beginning to doubt your intelligence.� Black said.
�James, they could be using Dark Magic!� Orion said.
�Thank you! See James, it�s really quite easy! You just have to think a little wider!� Remus said.
Just then Dumbledore walked in the room. He walked past James, stopped and said �Don�t tell me that Professor Knockturn fell asleep again.�
�he did sir.�
�This is only his second class all day! I really need to consider asking him to leave.� Dumbledore said. Then he looked over at Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. Snape had disappeared somewhere. �Do you know what book those three are reading. It looks like they�re trying really hard to cover up the title on the cover.�
�Accually, we do�� Black started, but Peter gave him a sharp nudge in the side. If Dumbledore heard what Black had said, he pretended as if he hadn�t heard him. Instead he walked over to have a look for himself. Then, for the first time ever James heard Dumbledore yell at someone.

Lily was busy(she was one of the only ones accually doing her work)doing her wok when she heard Dumbledore yell "You boys are not allowed to read that book! and you know it! Let me see that!" Lily looked over to see some of the Slytherine boys beening yelled at while Dumbledore was seeing what they where reaing. Then he said "You where reading about the Unforgivables! I am going to have this book confiscated! And you three are going to do detention for a month! And No begining of the year dance!!" Then Dumbledore dragged them out of the room. Lily watched this, and then, she felt a tap on her shoulder. And someone wispered in her ear. Don't laugh at hem for getting in trouble, don't think about telling on them for what you saw either. or we will get you." them she turned around to see who had said that to her, and no body was there.

He laughed. Served them right, he though. Then, someone tapped him on the shoulder. "Don't even think about telling anyone what you saw on the first night! Unless you want to feeli pain." James uickly turned around to see who it was, but no one was there.
Chapter 10; Defence Against...the students.
"Good morning class. I ma Proffessor Ternon. I will be your deence against the Dark Arts teacher this year. First, im going to start off by getting to know you, sice your first years. Would you all please move the desks to the edges of the class room, and stand in a circle. We will go around the circle, and when its your turn please say your name and one interesting thing about you." He said. "this mans too perky" Peter said to James "i know! Im sick of him already!"
They did as they where asked though. They stood in the circle and all said one interesting thing about themsleve. James learned that Lily was a Flute player. She explained that that was a musical instrument that she had played at her muggle school.
Then, they all sat back down. "Now that we all know eachother, we must start lessons. As some of you most probaly know, three student where caught earlier reading a book full of Dark Magic. That is hat this class is for, so you can protect your self from some of that dark arts. First, today where going to learn how you can tell if a drink of some food has been poisoned" Ternon said.
"like we're seriosly gonna become paranoid and make sure our food hasn't been poisoned at every meal" Black wispered to Remus, James, Orion and Peter. "I know, but those guys they caught could probably do it" Orion replied.

So, the class ended. She was still worried though. Who could possibly know what she had seen. Who told her not to tell anyone?? The three who were in the bathroom where the same three who had beeen taken away by Dumbledor, so it couldn't have been them. Could it have been the guy she had bumped into? On the way out of the bathroom? She was worried too. She knew that the book they had been reading had Dark Arts stuff in it. And she also knew that they where brewing a potion. She made sure she copied everything that Prf. Ternon said about the poisoning. She caught up with her friends and decided to tell them about the warnings and what she saw.
"You saw them brewing a potion!" Reina said.
"Youu NEED to tell Dumbledore!" Artemis said.
"She can't though! Didn't you hear what she said abut the guy giving her a warning?" Stevie said.
"We know it has to be someone from Slytherin though" Apolla said. "Since no one else was in the room. It was only the Gryffindores and the Slytherines, and we know it wasn;t the tree you saw brewing a Potion. They where gone with Dumbledore. And it wasn't any of us. You asaid it ws a guys voice. So that leave only two people who could have said it." Lily thought that Apolla was very clever.
"Who is it then?" lily said. "and how do you know that theres only two people left?"
"Thats simple. Okay, their was 40 students sorted this year. Ten to each house. Just like Gryffindore, there was five boys and five girls sorteed into Slytherin. Katie and Lucy Knoll, Luara Retic, Asheley Shretek and Mallery Totyl where the girls, and Crabbe, Goyl, and Malfoy where the ones who where taken away, and you say that their also the ones who where brewing the potion. That leaves two more guys, Severus Snape and Avery" (...okay, if you guys look it up, Avery appears on p. 648 at the bottom in the American edition...he's also a death eater...)
"so who s it?" Reina asked.
"Have you figuered it out?" Artemis asked.
"Acually, i think i have." Apolla said with a grin.
"Who is it then?" Stevie asked.
"lily, that guy you bumped into, was he headed the opposite direction as you?"
"he was." Lily said
"Did you realize, that that corridor is a dead end, he wa headed toword a ded end, unless he was going to the girls bath room. You discribed him as a guy with wrinkled kind of skin, pale and had greasy hair, that fits the discription of Snape. I assume he had been sneaking away t get some more ingredients and was just coming back when you bumped into him." Apolla said.
"Wow! you're good" Reina said.
"Thanks" Apolla said.
And the five of them walked away to History of Magic class.

The boys had been listening to the whole thing. "OMG! Did you hear that! Lily got a warning just like i did!" James said to the other four. "OMG! i hope she doesn't tell, i don't want her or her friends to get hurt" Orion said. "Neither do i" James said. Especially not lily. "We have to talk to her, we can work together to make sure no one gets hurt." Black said.
They got to HOM (History of magic, and Defence angainst the Dark arts is DADA from now on, H=Herbology, TF+Transfiguratiom, P=Potions and so on)
and sat down, they where about to talk to Lily when Professor Binns walked in(he hasn't died yet) Immediatly he told them to get out quills and parment and stat to take notes. James wasn't taking notes, insteade he fell asleep. He had the weirdest drem. He was at the dance on friday, and he was dancing with Artemis, when their was screaming coming from over by the Ravenclaw tale. He walked over and saw Catty Murray screaming with pain, convulsing wildly. Dumbledore walked over and said, "sh'es been hit with and Unforgivable. How did this happen?!"
Then he heard Sirius saying "James! Wake up!" Then he heard "Young man, are you okay?" He woke up sweating and trying to catch his breat. "Mr. Potter, are you okay? You where screaming and convulsing!" Thats when he realized he was on the floor. "Mr. Black, why don't you take him up to the hospital wing." Prf. Binns said. And Black led him out of the class room.
