Day 6                                                                                         10th June 04

         I wondered how da journey was completed till Leh.. I reached and tried to look for inner permit for the Nubra region. But I was informed of the bad weather ahead after Khardung as its been 2 days and roads have been closed at Khardung Top. At about 12:30 I decided to go to the Khardung Top but I couldnt even reach South Pullu, (as from where army controls the traffic). It was rain due to which I had to return back as I was not carrying any kind of rain coat or any protection.
        Once I was back I met Sapan again and in evening it was a time together and he decided to show me the areas around - we were off to Shanti Stupa once again. We saw clouds, blue sky and silver lining between clouds, sky and the evening Sun - Amazing and I wonder if this is the only place in world from where you can see such a beautiful scene.

On the way back from Khardung I also did go to Tsemu Gompa where people put all thier prayer flags. Totally surreal. On the other mountain right opposite this one was an Old Fort. I wished if I was bird - a migratory one - who can travel all over da world. Still I thanked God for all dat I hv done till dis date and I will accomplish in days to come. I spent Rest of day roaming around in Leh - looking at the mob, wondering people how they fit into each other so materialistic at times and so unrealistic it looked - All ....... (I better dont wanna put this into words) Let me say It was wonderful day - day I will cherish looking at the memories again.
