As expected days n days n finally da day has come to start doing that something - to win - to achieve - The trophy of my life. Its 5th june time is 0430hrs beginning of the Adventure "Unseen lands".
A new unexplored region - FREEBIRD. Beholdiong its orginality. Leaving home with my bike odometer reading at 23000Km's - All packed up one large backpack + one small back pack + one small eatables carry bag. Fully loaded with all the essentials. Just starting with a good start slow still it just starting at its own pace. One of the things I realised that I have missed at home is my Map and itinieary but I had a rough sketch of it in my mind as to where I was heading. So now I was now on my own with plans to be made as of time on hands.
Keeping it nice n low at 60 k's with hardly 49 k from the start Heaven's opened to play a spoil sport at 0522Hrs bringing me to a halt. Though it was raining hard but looking at the distance ahead of me I decided to carry on regardless of the rain... And none da less I still was driving it at my own pace between 80-90k's though conditions were hard and keeping my control on the situation was a big ask but I had no issuez counting on it was my previous experiences.
But
after driving in rain for about an hour it finally stopped raining but still with no signs of sun. But I was shiverring as my feet were all wet and after being in rain for an hour it was worsening for me. So I had my first stop at 162 Km from Home at about 0710Hrs(Average speed - 67.5k's) where there was this accident in middle of the road and it made me take my first small stop..... A small break allowing me to change my wet socks and refresh myself with a small stop over.
At the same spot I was passed by a bunch of 5 Loud riders. Nd just driving for another 25-30 minutes was another accident by da roadside where a cow was hit by Hyundai Accent nd looking at condition of it it seems totally wrecked up with nothin left in it.
While
I was taking some shots dis Loud Riders Gang stopped to see da
inquisitiveness of why I was so much intrested in in dat accident. So I got
a chance to tolk with this LOUD RIDERS
group
and they were on the way to Chail n they said lookin at me "Dats wat a true rider spirit is " After they heard I was heading for Leh all by myself :p.
It was 209Km's nd I touched Ambala at 0800Hrs(Av speed - 65k's). Although I planned
420K's approximately for my first day so according to it - it was just half way across the planned journey. Guessing by Gods game - it was rain, sun and now the hard winds - Turbulent winds is the word I would go for - Good enough to not let one drive an easy go. But after Ambala Toll Road - road till Bassi is single lane on each side though making it more tough and hard with those not so easy to drive through winds. It was 250kms and I crossed Bassi\Zirakpur point. The Divide point between Bilaspur and Ropar but as i hv seen it on the map that route via Nalagarh is a small route so I went for dat. And hitting Pinjore with 268kms on the Dial at 0905Hrs(Av speed - 55.5k's) I went for my Second Break but first halt to eat something. So now I had my Roti's that mom packed and along with that glass of Lassi ;) - A truly awesome punjab lassi.
I was now about to get on the road i have never been on before. Roads from Pinjore to Swarghat was truly a memorable one as it passes with corn fields on both sides of the roads and beautiful look of far away foot hills.
I
should say any biker who wants to feel the real biking should do this road
without any doubt as it offers some of the nature's very best views. Though
the road is small and only enough for one big vehicle so dont mind if every
time you see a big vehicle and you are forced to stop on a corner with no
courtesy from a bigger vehicle and those big pot holes. And I should say
some drivers are courteous enough to give you the space to drive through. But going along the climb starts although just the foothills and words of Beauty starts to fall out of my mouth as I can look on the plain lands Sheer Exuberance- Nature's an Addiction. Its 1200 hrs and I hv done 375Kms reaching Bilaspur where I had my third halt just a small one once again just refreshing myself with the lemonade and the heat was getting irrestitable - Its still hot even in hills Damn wat a day - rain winds and again damn heat. But by now my foot fingers were giving up as the heat is getting stronger.
Driving for another 20Kms I stood by a milestone allowing myself and JeSS to take a small break though I
stopped
there for half-an-hour unpacking my eatables bag as one of the bag inside my
small pouches got opened spreading that to other materials. And across the
road was a house where I asked the lady if I can wash my face and she
allowed me to do it with graceful smile. Asking her about the heat and
weather - she replied Its almost the same heat except in evening it is a bit
relief and cozier. Starting Again I was in Sunder Nagar at another 26 Kms from my last stop. So now I was 418kms according to my trip-meter. Nicely done- Now if I am to remember my plan it was supposedly to be my first stop for the day. But looking at the watch its just 1500Hrs so I took my lunch in small dhaba by the Side of this small river. Soon as I left Sunder nagar was a light drizzle but i decided to carry on further. Leaving myself in thoughts about where I will stay in Bhuntar which was another 90kms. Driving at a good pace at 80-90km with the roads as something on which I would like to burn some rubber I reached Pandoh.

some small stops by now and distributing Loli-Pops to monkeys

back on drive through good roads I did 443kms reaching Mandi at 1515Hrs. AAH
Dats some 12.30 Hrs of driving. Goodness and I wonder if I can eva do it again. Reaching at Bhuntar
and by watch its 1730Hrs and 503Kms of driving it was a big relief I headed
towards Gurudwara where I got a separate room with an attached toilet-
bathroom ... Watelse Do I need ?? Good Man it rocks...Well once I hit and put
my stuff back
I
was out to take some nature shots as this place is full
of nature's mystique surroundings. I came back in and slept .......
