My mum won 2 tickets to his album launch for his CD "Double Happiness" - which was held between 5:30-9am (!!!!) at an Italian restaurant in Sydney, AUS. Plus, one os Sydney's best-known radio stations was going to be broadcasting there live. The week before, they had given away 25 double passes to this invite-only event - and my mum happened to be one of the winners. She was nice enough to take me along (it's my dream to meet as many Aussie rock legends as possible!)
Jimmy performed 2 songs with his band and, because his album is a duets album, they were both duets with his daughter. It was fantastic!
Afterwards, I got to meet Jimmy, plus his son, Jackie, and his daughter, Mahalia (both of whom got to record a song with their dad on the album). They all signed my cd booklet, plus Jimmy signed my autograph book and a page of pictures that my mum made up for me. I had my photo taken with him (as soon as I can upload it from my cell phone to my computer, I'll put it up here!) and he gave me a kiss on the cheek!
