Sorry I haven't updated in a while, but I actually have an excuse this time:  I was in Europe.  I started the whole trip out in Rome and drove up to Cologne, Germany to end it off.  So in honor of my travels through Italy, I have a little quote from Lewis Black:

"I was in Italy, and I'll tell you, for those of you who haven't been there, Jesus Christ is big there.  I mean I shouldv'e suspected that, but more big than I even imagined.  He's everywhere!  They've got pictures.  They've got photos.  They have photos!  He's in every nook and cranny of Italy.  He's like the Coca-Cola of Italy."

More on the trip later...

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to hang out with one of the most elite classes of losers known to man, and no, I am not talking about the chess team from your school.  The group I speak of is the Harry Potter enthusiasts.  Now if you like Harry Potter that's cool because I like the books and movies too, but these people were the cream of the crop.  They were the people that waited until midnight on the 16th to buy the sixth book right when it was put on shelves.  Who says, "forget sleep, I'm going to buy a book and then shut myself off from the world for three days so I can finish it at superhuman speed"?
Now some of you are probably thinking, "why were you there to purchase that book with all those other people?".  That's a good question and luckily I have reasons to save my name.  I was there with my girlfriend because she wanted to get it right when it came out.  And since I was there I figured what the hell and got it.  Of course, then by this reasoning, I just called my girlfriend a loser which is very far from the truth.  I'll probably be paying for this post later if she ever reads it...

I have now come to the realization that the next CD that the Foo Fighters release needs to be a greatest hits CD.  They have already released four LP discs, and their next CD, In Your Honor, is due out next month.  Adding in the singles they have from soundtracks, you then have plenty of songs to put on a hits CD.  Now granted, most bands usually wait until they've released at least six discs, but the Foo Fighters have four hits on nearly all of their CDs and I doubt it will be any different for the upcoming one, so that's twenty songs right there.

I went to get Team Sleep's debut album today, and it is sweeeeet.  Chino Moreno (Deftones) is the frontman for the band if that means anything to anybody reading this.  But the group's music is a mix of alternative rock and ambient, so there is a very dreamlike feeling to all of the music.  It's the kind of music that puts visions in your head. Must be where they got the name from.

Note to all fellow idiots:  old writing is now in the archived section.  See, it says 2004 stuff.  Nothing else to say, just wanted to point that out.  I will now proceed to take up space by typing random stuff:

Remember kids, never pet a dog that is on fire.

I meant to post following thought earlier but I had forgotten what date it was that I wanted to post this.  This site is now officially one year old.  Actually that was back on March 23.  Now it's more like one year and 18 days.  Anyway, because of this I'll soon add an archives section so this page won't get too terribly big with all the writing on it.  Hopefully more will come soon.  If you have any suggestions put them in the guestbook.

I haven't posted in a while.  I'm sure you're used to it by now.  Anyway, I went to get some gas in my car today, and while I was pumping this guy right across from my starts pumping gas while smoking a CIGARETTE!  The first thing I wanted to do was punch the guy in the face, but then didn't think that was such a good idea.  So instead I just kept thinking, "Please God, don't let me blow up."  As I drove away with my $30 half tank of gas, I couldn't help but keep looking back in my rearview mirror to see if there was a giant fireball in the sky right above where that gas station once existed.

February 14, 2005

Well, today is Valentine's Day.  Or as I like to call it, the Day When Cupid Rises from the Dead and Takes Revenge on the Single Souls on Earth.  I'm still trying to come up with a shorter name, maybe Cupid's Revenge Day, but that doesn't seem to have the same feeling.  Anyway, don't get me wrong, I would enjoy Valentine's Day if I actually had someone special to spend it with.  I do have someone specific that I would like for a valentine but I won't get into that.

January 18, 2005

I haven't posted anything on here for quite a while because there really hasn't been anything worth posting...until now.  Today I withdrew from college in Charlotte to move back home with my parents.  I had a big talk with them yesterday and confessed that art, my major, was something that I really loved but couldn't see myself doing for the rest of my life as a career.  Upon that note we decided that it would be best that I leave where I was and come home to get a job or go to a community college.

Now, some of you who are reading this might be shocked if I haven't told you personally yet.  All I can say is don't be.  After a while of attending college I knew this was bound to happen.  And for those of you who do know me remember, I'm back home now so you know where to find me
