The new and improved Beta 3.0 of DOD has been released. After watching movies like Saving Private Ryan, and series like HBO's Band of Brothers, I have become extremely intrigued by the warfare of the past. Although this MOD may not stand up to professionally created games like Medal of Honor Allied Assault, I feel that the creators have done an excellent job. The sound effects are highly authentic and the weapon models are extremely accurate as well.
The first class that I tried was the Allied Machine Gunner. Other effective guns are the Thompson, Carbine and BAR. Many people are giving up on DOD because of the high recoil, I find this disturbing and urge everyone to try their best to adapt and cope with the recoil by burst firing, crouching or going prone.
