National Young Athletes' League, Wrexham, May 19th 2002.
On a breezy but pleasant day a strong team travelled to Wrexham for a NYAL fixture. Yet again the breezy conditions meant that many athletes were unable to achieve the times that their excellent performances deserved. Ultimately however the Harriers cruised to a comfortable victory, their strength in depth across all the events proving decisive.

u13 girls results. u15 girls results. (Apologies for any mistakes they are not my results)
u15 girls 4x100m relay won by Liverpool Harries.
Despite the breezy conditions a number of girls ran good times, Samantha Mallen continued to improve her 800m time running around 2:32, to finish second in the u13 800m. Helen Nelson was 2nd in the B race with a PB of 2:41 at a distance a bit short for Helen.

Melissa Ronan ran an excellent time around 5:01 in the u15 1500m despite some observers having her slightly quicker. In the A race Laura Quine again won in about 4:55, sub five minute times becoming quite common.

In the u13 1200m Laura and Clare Murphy won the A and B races respectively, both with impressive front running displays.
Helen Nelson coming home in 2nd place in the u13 girls 800m B race.
