| Samantha Mallen won a very high quality 600m from Hannah McManus and Ashley Blackburn. Samantha led from the start and finished in 1:48.2, Hannah ran 1:49.9 and Ashley 1:52.0. As with most of the events the 600m was dominated by Liverpool Harriers emphasising the strength in depth of the club particularly in the girls races. Hopefully the girls can translate these fine 600m times into equally impressive 800m performances in the weeks to come. |

| On Saturday there was a strong Harrier line up in the u13 girls 1500m, Laura Murphy continued her impressive start to the track season winning from Southport's Stephanie James in 5:16.31. Samantha Mallon was 3rd in 5:23.2, Clare Murphy 4th in 5:27.2 and Helen Nelson 5th in 5:28.11. The conditions on Saturday were colder and the wind a little stronger, which only emphasises how well Laura ran to win by such a wide margin. |
