| You know you may have to step on some toes to get ahead. Yeah I guess so, but I'd rather leave that to my management. Good job, nice philosophy. I don't want to be mean to anybody. If I have to be agressive I'll be agressive. But I'm not planning on being a bitch to anybody. There's no point in it. When do you think this whole thing is going to blow over? You know, the issue with people that are jealous. I think it'll be over when Brittin and I are out of school. So what is this, just a cross-Canada tour? Basically, but not quite quite across Canada. We're going around Alberta, and then we're flying to New York. And then Foxx and I are flying to Montreal, while Brittin and Leah are going to be flying to Toronto. Then we're going to meet up and do shows out in Ontario. Why are you splitting up? Because we're doing a lot of interviews, and Foxx and I are the only ones that can speak French. Do you play any sports for your school? I play volleyball with my school. And I played basketball with Brittin, but Brittin's a better player than me. Is that where the name LiveonRelease came from? Yes, from basketball. *This is where I hear two dogs barking in the background.* Your dogs? Yeah, my two ferocious poodles. What does the name of the band mean? When you get fouled you get two foul shots. And for the first one, if you throw it up you get it back no matter. But for the second shot, the ref yells 'Live on release!' then everybody can go and get the ball. So when did you get together? We got together about two years ago. I was thirteen. Whose idea was it originally? Brittin and I met through baseball. I didn't really know that her family had anything to do with Bif Naked. My sister was working in a restaurant and Bif, Brittin, and her family walked in. My sister walked up to Brittin's dad, who is Bif's manager, and told him that I sing. She gave them a demo, and they played, and two days later I got a call back. They said they're looking to put together an all female band. I started putting things in the newspaper saying that I was looking for girls. I searched schools for possible girls. No matter how good he was, you wouldn't take a guy? What if this guy was the Jimi Hendrix of drumming? But Leah's my Jimi Hendrix of drumming! Have you guys ever met Our Lady Peace? I wish! I have. I've met Matthew Good. That punk! If I ever saw him on the street I'd kick his ass! *LAUGHTER* Where were we? We were looking for the females. So I guess Foxx saw an add in the newspaper. Before Foxx called Brittin said, 'I used to play the bass, but now I play the guitar.' Then I decided that I had my female guitarist. Then Foxx called me and we added her to the mix. Foxx then told me that she knew Leah from school. So then we all came together. Did all of you come up with the band name? I didn't, we were all trying to think of band names. But her (Brittin) and her dad came up with it, and we decided that it was cool. Is it all one word? It's two words: Liveon Release, but it's usually spelled as one word. Are you excited about the record coming out today? I am! I am really excited, I'm really happy. Have you picked it up? Hey! When did this turn into an interview with me? I'm picking it up right after we're done here. *LAUGHTER* How many songs are on it? Eleven songs. Are there a lot of pictures in the booklet? There's only pictures, four, four, five, five pictures. Five pictures? Five pictures. Are you sure? Five pictures? ........yeah! NEXT PAGE |
