Volume 2
contains two shows mixed together to give a virtual complete live performance
featuring the briefly-lived lineup of founder Mick Box, long-time members Lee
Kerslake and Trevor Bolder, and newcomers Phil Lanzon and Steff Fontaine. Although
Phil has continued with Heep to this day, Steff lasted only a few months before
being sacked in favor of Bernie Shaw, the final piece in the puzzle in completing
the longest-lasting lineup of Heep. Fontaine proves here that he has the vocal
chops worthy of a Heep lead singer, although his voice is relatively indistinguishable
from the many excellent hard rock singers of the mid 80s. Check out the liner
notes on the inside cover from Kerrang magazine!
