This is the earliest known recording of one of Heep's classic songs, Stealin', as well as four more tracks from their new album, the title track, Seven Stars, Dreamer, and If I Had the Time. The latter two have never before appeared on any Heep live recording. While Stealin' has remained in the set to this day, as well as an FM radio staple in much of the world, the remainder of the songs from the album disappeared by the end of the Wonderworld tour in 1974. It would be 25 years before Sweet Freedom re-entered the set, followed by Circus, Seven Stars, and Pilgrim.
Buffalo 73 also features a nearly 18-minute workout of Gypsy, far longer than what appeared on Live 73, and much more true to the extended jam that Heep played in 72-73, as other bootlegs from that era will attest.
This set has been much harder to come by on the bootleg market, and we have remastered it for a much improved sound. It is also our first 2CD set
