PLANNING A GROUP HOME FOR REAL
WE ARE SELLING OUR HOME IN SYLMAR TO GET A BIGGER, BETTER PLACE--MOST LIKELY IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY.

Imagine coming home to a beautiful house with plenty of trees, a fire place, pool and a hot tub (clothing optional of course). You come home to the smell of something delicious being cooked by one of your housemates. You share a good dinner with whoever is at home tonight. Afterwards, you can go to the privacy of your room or soak in the hot tub with good friends. Sound good? Go for it!

Many times over the years we've done an exercise at a Live the Dream meeting in which we have everyone write down what they could afford to pay down for a home and what they could pay monthly. Invariably, we discover that many people together can live cheaper and a whole lot nicer than that same number could live separately. If you have some real interest in living in a lovely home with warm, caring, like minded people for little more (and maybe even less) than you are now paying to live alone (or with your spouse) in a smaller place, come to this planning meeting.

Do the "artists" all living together in Lady Sally's very classy and caring Bordello in Spider Robinson's Calahan series have anything we might want to use in reality? Speculative fiction is about the possible...

Making Love to the Universe

Tantra means "weave" or "web". The universe is a web of energy and creativity, microcosm and macrocosm, heaven and earth, Yin and Yang. The main "sutra" or tenet of Tantra is to worship. The ancient cultures from which Tantra arose had many god and goddess manifestations of the "one". They recognized the uniqueness of male and female energies and honored them both.

Today, especially during this current crisis, with its complications of war, I find the feminine principles lacking in our lives. It is time to "weave" them back in to offer a little more balance to our own lives. The more "in-balance" we are the more fully satisfying our lives will actually be.

Whether partnered or not, it is always essential to spend time by oneself. Consciously set aside some time in your busy schedule to treat yourself to a luxurious bath with music, bubbles, a few drops of a pure essential oil, perhaps a glass of wine and pure relaxation. You can actually meditate in this space, if you choose. Or, sit in a quiet space and meditate for 15 minutes or do a few yoga postures. Calm your mind and spirit by treating yourself to this time with just you.

When you make love, consider that you are making love to the universe. The very act of opening, surrender and release is an act of love for the greater good. You are, in essence, worshiping. Be in gratitude and thanks for your abundance and your prayers will go out to heal both the planet and yourself.

Conscious expansion through self-pleasuring is a way in which we can grow our capacity for pleasure and uniquely hold our pleasure as a gift to the universe. This may sound a little far-fetched, but when we can re-frame our negative beliefs about our bodies, pleasure and sexuality, we are helping to heal all humans. Pleasure is our birthright. When we were born we were "pure potential", as Deepak Chopra would say. It is the society, in which we are born, that models us to fit.

For many of us there is no more ecstatic moment than that of orgasmic bliss. We have known no other spontaneous ecstasy or enlightened opening. Well then, we must use the tools we are given! Here is the opening for expansion. Here is the opening for a kind of "prayer" or "worship" that can contribute to your very "lightness of being."

For men, when you are self-pleasuring, be open to a softer, more feminine experience. This is often the opening needed to discover multiple, full body orgasms. As you increase your pleasure, let the thoughts of peace and joy cross your mind. Don't force it, if it comes let it. With practice this will happen more often and you'll begin to last longer and feel deeper capacity for pleasure.

For women, know that your capacity is limitless. Breathe and feel the energy created in your body. Relax and know that you are the mother of the universe and that your pleasure will renew and lighten not only you but also the people in your life. When we allow ourselves the bliss of pleasure fully felt our faces get younger and our spirit stands apart. We feel and look empowered because we are in love with the whole being that is US.

This is the key to the invitation for others to be a part of our life. When we glow we attract, we're fun and we are in celebration with life.
