Love Extinguished

The ashes look life-less and cold,
but deep within a glow remains.
Remnants of memories are faint,
what is ecstasy? But, now a word.

Once tossed casually,
as water or air.
Dreams, once mighty and full,
a world of blissful euphoria.

Loves trail darkened,
with jealousy and greed.
Mocking and eroding,
to leave a hollow fragile shell.

The language of passion was choked,
silenced to not exist.
Now, old is gone,
and hope is reduced to a trace.

To again touch, but with guarded care,
to share and speak of dreams,
To love as never before,
Passionately live to lifes fullest.
