There was once a beautiful mermaid, who fell in love with a mortal man.
Every night, she rises from the Silver Lake and floats through the village like the wind and watches her lover sleeping.
But one night, she could not find him. Heartbroken, the mermaid went back to the Lake,
her silver tail trailing behind her, leaving behind shimmering scales and sparkly silver blood. Back in the lake, she sang a haughtily beautiful melody and was never seen again.
As time goes on, the ground absorbed the blood and made it shimmer in the moonlight.
The scales turned into natural nightlights or glowing shells and rocks.
From what the fisher men says, in the middle of Silver Lake, stood a crystal statue of a beautiful mermaid sitting atop a rock.
Her sad colorless eyes looks over the Silver Voice Village. The statue looks as if is real if not for the whiteness of it. Nobody knows where it came from...
At every full moon, a haughty melody whispers its secret across every household in the village.
