"remember.... reminisce...... reflect.... looking back, it's the year in review..."
and this school year will forever be remembered as the year of 9-11... the twin towers... gone... but maybe p.diddy is right when he said "we'll build 4 new towers!!"...
i'm borrowing a page from the LJ again and ending this year with something tangible to highlight a lot of inside jokes and memorable memories from this year.. i'll use this to shoutout a bit too.... i can't believe i'm a senior... i remember when in high school, becoming a senior was what you looked forward to for the first 3 years.... my junior year is but a week from being completely over... summer school doesn't count.. ;-)... it's been a rollercoaster of a year... i'll try and recall as much as i can..... my impressions on this year have been greatly weighted by the events of this past quarter...so much of it will be recent stuff....
first and foremost... team anti.... upgraded to team dirty with the additions of tony and lyndon.... team dirty (sunny, eugene, joe, tony, and myself).... i'll never forget that winter quarter afternoon when my first day playing in 2 weeks led to 5 straight wins.... 5.... that's CRAZY..... it's been a while since we've been reunited... every b-ball day seems to split us up... that's what we get for playing with big white and black guys... we're asian... we're little... (with the exception of tony)
sunny park, individually, you get to be number one... again, i apologize for what happened.... you're my bro... and if i wasn't chinese, i'd be korean, and i'd be your brother... haha... or you could be chinese... either way.... so TWIN, we got a whole summer ahead of us... a summer that will hopefully include a lot of "DINGS", "TA-DA's", and "COME HERE B_____'s!!"... let's tackle some more trash cans and maybe i'll learn how to do a front hand spring... no more 151 though... NONE... 151 is bad.... hmm.. then there's "dreamcast, x-box, and baseball"... WHAT??!!... who's playing?.. who's on deck?... do you have an x-box?!!... there are so many inside jokes that i can't even remember all of them right now.... and there's too much that i CAN'T put on here because it's just AWFUL..... thanks for always seeming to find a way to make me laugh even when i felt shattier than ever... like that one weekend.... "you're making me sad.."...... "EH?!!"... gotta add starbucks... mirror lake... zigs... and apt 169 F.... "i need a girl..." & "i love girls.. they are hot..." (Pilot the monkey this summer, aight?)
eugene ahn... you've been quite the worker bee this quarter... it's like i've seen you once a week lately... us not being able to lift put a damper on that for sure.... but without you this year, i wouldn't have been introduced to incredible artists like sage francis.... john mayer is your finding too... i don't know who you got it from, and i know you're sick of him now, but you should get mad props for getting the word out on mayer around here.... thanks for helping me get back into writing poetry and prose... i needed that for a while... it helped a lot... maybe more than you'll know... i can't wait to hear your revamped CD.... haha, i just thought of that song of the wolves and captain america.... HAHA.... that's a song for a lifetime.... it's just between us.. :-).... i'm honored i was there to witness it all.... thanks to you for being on this side of the line when it counted.... i still owe you for listenin to my whinin' and bi*chin.... starbucks.... chipotle'... taylor basement... and how could i forget... the PARTY... haha.... for now, it's gonna be deemed party of 2002... =).... joe choi... well kid... don't know where you've been or what you've been up to outside the basketball court... i'm glad i was able to be here for ya that one time this quarter... it's good bein on the receiving end of all those dimes you dish out game after game.. at least when i'm your team... i still haven't blocked your a$$ yet.... haha... ah well.. maybe after this summer when i'll be ballin' and lifting with sunny like i'm possessed or somethin... funny, fall quarter seems SO distant... i can faintly remember chillin' at your place hittin up the PS2 after accounting and business management on various days.... remember the NHL dream team we created?... awwwww yeah.... i will dunk someday...
lyndon dreven.... whoa kid.. harvard-bound is how i have to start this off... l.diddy....it's been quite the trip this quarter being in 2 of your classes... even though you performed much better when it counted... it was fun and crazy gettin' ready for all our tests and such... 3579.... 3529.... starbucks....apt 169 and x-box and gamecube.... caribou coffee and strawberry banana smoothies... barnes and nobles.... filene's basement... sam's club.... $40 betula's.. haha...and of course, baja fresh and the baja burrito, enchilada style....lastly, cincinnati jammin' on main... JACK JOHNSON. JOHN MAYER. and HOWIE DAY. i got to see about every side of ya at some point in the quarter.. mad props for getting through all the stuff you had to deal with.... you definitely survived a rollercoaster that was like mine... it's been awesome getting to know you better... and it's been awesome meeting your friends.. (ie: sarah, jennie, angie, steve, matt, and jason)... we get all summer to chill some more... MEH. don't forget about norfleet farquad rives....aka. professor gay. haha.... tony lim.... you're getting an individual shoutout too... too bad you've vanished off the face of this university this quarter... but i've got the Oval, basketball court, zigs, and DIMPLE to remember for ya... haha.... remember THAT?... i bet you'll fall off your chair thinking about that.... your friend from the Oval... wow.... she smiled at me.... THAT was like a dream... how's the peck? i recall you tearing it at some point in the year.... man, i just remembered that we used to eat down in the union all the time... how could i forget that??? too much from that... i just remember AWFUL AWFUL things coming from your mouth during lunch.... haha....
aight, that about does it for individuals.... this next will just be a blur of names, events, and crappy grades... er... i mean, cute girls... :-)....
fall quarter.. somethings just aren't meant to be.... and then you try and move on, hoping time is on your side....you realize that it is.... accounting sucked... and stress fractures do too..
winter quarter.... quickly approached 300lbs on the benchpress... started the quarter gung-ho... had a passion... that fizzled... accounting sucked... but courtney, rules.. and her party did too! sorry to people who though they knew me.... trust me, i didn't even know myself... we all need a little time to rebuild... gotta start somewhere.. and... gotta stop somewhere too.... got tendonitis... tiffany and christine arrived from the windy city.... tiff stole my pikachu.... eugene records... tiffany records... both, awesome.... you can find them on audiogalaxy... beginnings of john mayer...sunny and the mashimaro that belonged to a lil notorious cho... finance 510 with blackburn, who sang the first day, pep talk the last... starbucks = 2nd home.... spring break in chicago.... lots and lots of eating... hey look, someone can cook!... bonded in the kitchen... used as a punching bag and chauffer.... lots of movies....being back in chi-town was an experience...
spring quarter.. my 21st!!... not all that great.. fred, tony, and sunny all came out though... thanks guys... BIG dinner at moy's. 22 people?... thanks for all the gifts... look who's going out again?... funny, i'm legal. wow...eugene's party... starbucks and all my favorite baristas (tammy, emily, katrina, and shawn when it came down to it)... 3529... a lot of dumb mistakes... wish i could take back all of them... *sigh* after *sigh*.. met a lot of people... pi phi's ~ linda, andrea, carrie, libby, erica, tammy, marissa... and a host of others... saw a lot people i hadn't seen in a while too... steve, eric, ross, derek, rickin, jeff, stacy, megan... "only if she's going!"... it was also good seeing tiff (dimple buddy), paul, charles, tim, christine, annie, sarah, ann, vicki, and sooooooo many more people.... i can't remember... definite loss of short-term memory.... the gordon biersch experience.. someone died there!... grades.. crappy.... marketing with blackwell... sarah rules too... 499 sucked... "a group is...."... hurt wrist.. thanks fat white guy... real world!!.. MOVIES MOVIES MOVIES!!.. episode 2: i fell in love with natalie portman... and an incredible sound track that i study to... spiderman: i relived my childhood... vanilla sky: "every moment is a chance to turn it all around"... my younger bro's graduation... congrats again edward... how could i forget, my unending misfortune with my attraction to girls already with boyfriends.. *sigh*... how many is that now? 4?...
because I want to wrap this up.. i'll end it here... but thanks to everyone for an incredible year.. i know i can't remember everything.. and i'll probably add stuff in as my summer kicks off next week... but til then.. happy reading.. and IM or email me if you think i need to add something... :)
