Sabrina was the last kitty born, and we didn't know about her right away. After the first 3 kitties were born, my brother and I went to sleep, cause we had been up all night with Kita and the kittens, and we thought she was done having babiees lol! Later that afternoon, my brother wakes me up and says "I think there's another kitten" and I was like WHAT!? LOL! I got up, and there was little Sabrina, she was the tiniest of all, and she wasn't very well cleaned cause Kita was probably exhausted by the time she was born. She seemed to be the weakest kitten, and we realized she wasn't eating!
We tried to get her to eat, but she just wouldn't, she would open her mouth and try, but she didn't really eat. So we stayed all weekend with her, trying to get her to eat, and at last we discovered she would only eat from one nipple, the one under Kita's front legs! It was funny but that was the only nipple she would eat from! We were a little worried, cause it didn't seem to have as much milk, so we asked the vet, and she said it was great, cause that nipple might have less milk, but it was more nutritious, so it was a good thing she was eating from that one! :) |
