The outdoor kitty enclosure |

My kitties used to go outside, when we lived in Chile, I lived in a really quiet neighborhood, so I'd let them go outside, and they mostly just stayed in the yard. Now, I live by a really busy road, so there's no way I'd let them go out. But.... they love it. They cry and cry cause they want to go out, specially Spooky lol, my cry baby hee hee. So, I saw online how some people had built outdoor enclosures for their kitties, and I decided to try it. Had NO clue how I was going to get it done, but I was gonna try! |

So, I asked my friend Lisa's dad, "Spike" if he'd help me, and he said yes. So we started figuring out how to do this. I'm an architect (recently graduated) so I should know how to do this, but I'd never built anything! lol But it worked out pretty good. We basically used 2 x 4's and stapled chicken wire to it (reinforced with 1 x 2's on the outside, cause my cats are wacko and they could just push the wire and get out). We built the enclosure first, and then the tunnel and ramp that goes from the porch to the enclosure. There's a pet door that allows them to get out of the porch. |

The kitties LOVE the enclosure and being able to go out. It makes me a little nervous, but it makes them so happy. They have only been out there a couple of times so far, cause it's just finished, but I plan on adding stuff to make it more fun for them, I have one wooden shelf for them to lay on, and I'll put a couple more on and maybe something for them to climb. I'll let you know how it all goes! :) |

Here I added 2 more shelves so they can lay on higher, there are 3 shelves total, and they love them! I also added a cut tree so they can climb and scratch. They are enjoying their enclosure very much! |
