| Chapter 5 ~*Concentrating...On A Date~* By Jo |
| Julia got up from her seat and left the office, her session was done and now she had to go to the library to study for a test she had that afternoon. Then she would be able to go on her date with Nick the following night without having to worry about anything. She smiled. She hadn't known Nick for long but she really liked him and hoped that their date would go perfect. He hadn't called her yet, which worried her; maybe he wasn't gonna show up. She sighed. Would he really do that to her? She hoped not. She exited the building and started for school. ~*~ "So why were you being so cold to Josorry Miss. Willis?" Nick asked as he turned his attention from the road to Brian. They were on their way to Leigh Anne's and Brian was starring out the window. Brian sighed, "She trashed my fiance." "She was drunkbesides she was right." Brian glared at Nick. "Sorry Brian but Leigh can be a bitch. And she has been being one to Jo." Brian looked away from him remembering a few nights prior when Leigh Anne had said she hated Jo after sending her home. "Maybe your mad at her because you don't like the fact that she turned you on last nightmuch more then Leigh ever has." "And how would you know?" Brian asked annoyed. "Because I saw your face last night. You were enjoying it more then she was. Besides she was drunk, you barely had anything to drink until after she left, she didn't know what she was doing, you did." Brian looked away from Nick. Nick was rightNick had never been right before but now he was and that scared Brian, more then how much he was attracted to Jo. Nick parked the car outside Leigh Anne's house; Brian looked in the driveway and saw Jo's car still there, he sighed. Nick looked at him, "You're having doubts. You wouldn't admit before but you are, aren't you?" "I'm not having doubts Nick." Brian yelled. He quickly got out of the car and started walking up the driveway to the front door. Nick sighed and turned off his car, he followed Brian up the drive, "Brian, don't be mad. I'm your Best Friend. You can tell me if you do have feelings for Jo...as little as they may be." "Fine but I don't feel anything for her." Brian spoke as he turned his head and looked at Nick. "Fine." Nick said as he continued to follow Brian inside, "Leigh." Brian yelled once in the door. "We're in here." She yelled back. Jo sighed as Leigh Anne continued to look the dress up and down. Leigh Anne had three dresses with her and was trying to decide which one she liked the most. Leigh Anne sighed, "Try the next one on." Jo walked back into the bedroom to try the third dress on. Brian and Nick walked into living room where Leigh Anne was standing, Brian kissed her lightly as Nick looked around, there was no sight of Jo. The phone rang and Leigh Anne picked up the phone, "Hello? Oh right yes Hello Father" Leigh Anne continued to chat with the priest. "Miss. Wallace, can you come help me?" Jo called from the bedroom, oblivious to the fact that Brian and Nick were there. Leigh Anne covered the receiver and looked at Brian, "Brian go help her." Brian sighed and looked at Leigh Anne, she looked at him, "What are you waiting for?" She asked. Brian looked at Nick who gave him an 'I told you so' face after Leigh Anne used a bitchy tone with him. Brian began walking to the bedroom, thinking Jo needed help carrying something or help with picking a color out, something as trivial as that. He walked into the bedroom and Jo looked up at him, "I called Miss Wallace." She said simply. "I know but Miss Wallace is busy, so she sent me in here." "This is really a problem for Miss Wallace." "But like I told you Miss Wallace is busy so tell me what you need help with and I will be happy to do it." Brian answered, his voice rising. "Fine," Jo said simply, "I need help zipping up the back of my dress. She turned around and Brian was greeted with her bareback. He sighed and took a step closer to her. He put his hands on the zipper and slowly started pulling the zipper up letting his hand run up her back after the zipper. She turned around and looked at him, "Thank you." He watched her leave and sighed. Why had he done up her zipper soso.soargh? Brian took a deep breath and followed her out the door into the living room, Nick looked up as she walked in and smiled at her, "You look great in that dress." Nick complimented. "Always the bridesmaid never the bride." She smiled at him as she turned and looked at Leigh Anne. Nick looked up at Brian, who was starring at Jo as she turned around for Leigh Anne. "I'm guessing you agree with me?" Nick whispered to Brian as he smiled towards Jo. Brian glared at him. Leigh Anne hung up the phone. "That's the one." Leigh Anne squealed she looked up at Brian and Nick, "What do you guys think?" "Definitely, will the Bridesmaids look as good as she does in it?" Nick questioned with a smile. Jo smiled at him. "Hopefully." Leigh Anne answered. Nick looked up at Brian, "What do you think Brian?" Brian's eyes met Nick's which were full of life as he teased Brian, "Yes. It's a nice dress." "That's itit's just a nice dress?" Nick asked. "It's a beautiful dress." Brian muttered as he looked away from Nick's gaze. "Great." Leigh Anne clapped her hands together, "Ok. Go change. Then I am going to need your help with some more decisions, we can probably do that at your office right?" Jo nodded at Leigh Anne and walked past Brian as she walked into the bedroom. Brian's gaze followed and Nick patted his friend on the back, "You got it bad for the wedding planner!" He laughed quietly as he made his way out of the house and to his car. Brian glared at him and sighed. ~*~ Julia unlocked her door and walked into her dorm, she sighed. Tiff was so messy. She put her bag down and started gathering up magazines and books that were lying across the floor, she continued to clean until the phone rang. She put the last book from her arm on top of the others and made her way to the phone, she picked it up, "Hello?" Julia asked as she let the phone rest between her ear and neck. "Julia?" "Yes?" Julia asked, she didn't reconize the voice. "It's Nick." He answered almost as if he read her mind. "Oh hi." She smiled as she sat down in a chair; she flopped her legs over the side of the chair and rested her head against the back of it. "Are you busy, I'm not interrupting anything am I?" "No. No I just got home actually. I had to write a test." "And how did that go?" "Hopefully greatI was worried about it for awhile and now that it's done I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders," She spoke softly, 'And now I can concentrate on our date.' She added in her head. "So now you can concentrate on me and our date." He said, again as if he had read her mind. She smiled, "Yeah that's one thing I can concentrate onwe are still on for Friday?" "Of course. I was actually just calling to see where I could pick you up but we will get back to that later. Tell me about yourself Julia." She smiled. She loved how he said her name. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to keep from squealing out in laughter. |
