| Chapter 4 ~*Hangovers~* By Kerri |
| Jo headed into her bedroom to get changed and ready for work. How was she supposed to face Bri...Mr. Littrell today after last night. Acording to Valerie he'd heard what she'd said about his fiance too. "Oh boy, you've really gone and screwed up this time" She mumbled to herself as she pulled her clothes out of her closet. She quickly changed, did her hair and makeup and was on her way to meet up with Mr. Littrell, as she thought proper to call him, and his wedding party. *********** "Good morning Julia, how are you doing?" Tracey greeted Julia when she walked into her office that morning. "I'm doing pretty good" Julia replied, taking a seat on the couch across from her Pshyciatrist's chair. She'd been seeing Tracey for about 2 years now. "Are you still taking your anti-depressants?" "I thought I told you I stopped? I don't want to be dependant on them for the rest of my life, I've been on them long enough. I'm doing fine without them" "No panic attacks?" Tracey asked taking a few notes in her notebook. "Well...a few but I can handle them" she answered. "Alright. Have you seen your father lately?" Julia shuddered at the mention of her father. He was the one that had caused her all this pain and trouble. She'd caused her to go into her depression, to want to kill herself, to be seeing a pshyciatrist and to have been on anti-depressants. "No...I haven't. I'll have to see him for the holidays though when I go home for Christmas" "How do you feel about that?" "Scared, worried, nervous. He didn't like it when I left. I wasn't going to be there for him to yell at and blame everything on or to wait on him hand and foot" "You're 19 now Julia, you're old enough to do what you please. Don't let him get to you, don't let him win the battle" "It's just so hard...I can't forget that night when he told me to kill myself, I just can't." Julia said, feeling the tears start to form in her eyes. "I know that's going to be hard to forget but you've gotta try and get past it. You were 16 when all that happened and now look at you. You're in university studying to be something you want so bad" "Well...I got a hot date Friday too" Julia smiled lightly. "That's always good, that's always good" ************ Jo pulled into the parking lot of the tuxcedo place she was supposed to meet up with Mr. Littrell and his wedding party at. She parked her car, sighed and got out. She could see him and his wedding party through the window. "Hello Mr. Littrell" She said walking in. "Hey, what happened to calling him Brian huh?" "Shutup Nick" Brian shot back at him. "I'm sorry I'm late I-" "Had a slight hang over?" Brian said, turning back to look at the tuxcedo's the woman had brought over. "Umm...yeah. Mr. Littrell about last-" "Miss. Willis there's really no point in you being here today. We're all capable of picking out tuxcedo's ourselves. Why don't you head over to the house and see if my fiance could use your assistance with anything" Jo shuddered. He was probably doing this just because he knew how much she despised her. "Miss. Wallace told me she wanted me to stay here with you" "Well, I think Miss. Wallace needs your help way more than I do. She's got all the small little things to pick out and I'm not good with helping her" Jo sighed, "Alright, I'll head over there right now" "What did you do that for?" Nick asked once Jo had left the store. "I don't want her around me that's all." Brian said, trying to get Nick off his back. "But-" "Come on Nick, just forget it. Let's try on these tuxes so we can get out of here" *********** Jo pulled up in front of the house, dreading the thought of seeing Miss. Wallace. "Why do I hate her so much?? I know she's bitchy but I don't think I've ever hated anyone as much as I hate her." She sighed and got out of the car. She headed along the winding path that lead up to the front door of the house. She hesitated before finally ringing the doorbell. "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be helping Brian and his wedding party pick out the tuxes" Leigh Anne said when she opened the door. "Mr. Littrell asked me to come over here and help you out. He informed me that you needed my help much more than he did" Jo said, trying to sound pleasant. "Hmmm...well when you put it that way I guess I could use your help. I've got a bunch of bridesmaid dresses and you...look about the size of the sample dresses I got. You can model for me" "Sure, whatever you need" Leigh Anne turned and headed back into the house, leaving Jo to follow. 'Oh god, this is gonna be hell' Jo thought to herself, dragging herself behind Leigh Anne. |
