| "Hey Jacob, what's up?" Jo greeted her room mates boyfriend when she walked into their small apartment. "Nothing much. You look like you got something stuck up your ass though" Jacob smirked. "Yeah, a very bitchy bride" Jo answered slipping off her shoes and heading into the kitchen. She went into the cupboard and grabed the bottle of vodka she'd had sitting in there for months. "Ah well, that's what you get for being a wedding planner" "Yeah yeah, I know. Where's Valerie?" Jo asked, pouring some vodka into the glass and mixing it with some 7up. "In the shower. We'll be outta here in a bit. Val's got work and well...no offence but this place ain't very fun without her around" "None taken" Jo said, laughing lightly. "Yeah, now there's that smile" Jacob smiled and headed down the hall to Valerie's room. Jo picked up her glass and went into the living room, plopping down on the couch. She turned the TV on and began flipping through the channels. "Some day it'll be me who's the bride and I'll have some sorry ass wedding planner to bitch off" she thought to herself, closing her eyes and picturing everything in her head. "Maybe I'll have someone like that Mr. Littrell. He was quite hot. I dunno what he was like though, probably nice. Ah well, I guess I'll find out eventually" Jo sighed, and sat back to watch reruns of the Cosby show. ************** "Jules? Helloooo, earth to Jules" Tiff said, waving her hand in front of Julia. "Huh?" "You're supposed to be studying, not daydreaming about your blue eyed babe" "Oh...right. I wasn't actually" "Oh really, then what were you thinking about?" Tiffany asked, sitting down at the table with Julia. "Why I'm studying to be a psyciatrist" "Jules, you always think about that and it upsets you" Tiff said softly. "I know, but it just motivates me more ya know? I wanna be able to help kids that are in the situation I was in. The alcoholic father, the family who wouldn't admit it, being suicidial...with my experience I'd be great don't you think?" Julia asked, looking at her. "Of course you would. Just...don't go suicidal on me aight? Your my best friend and I couldn't bare that" "Don't worry about that Tiff. That's all over with. I was suffering from depression so it made everything worse. I'm fine now. I'm away from my father, I'm away from everything that made me hate life. Now I'm doing what I want to do" "Good. Get back to studying okay?" "Yeah, well now that you brought up that blue eyed babe I probably won't be able to. It's all your fault" Julia said laughing. Tiffany got up and headed back to her room, leaving Julia to ponder on her thoughts. ********* "Hey Leigh, where's Brian?" Brian's best friend Nick said when Brian's fiance answered the front door. "Out back by the pool. What's up?" She asked, closing the door after Nick had come in. "Nothing, I just came by to talk about the tux's. Brian said he'd tell me where and when to go for my fitting and crap like that" "Ah yes, Brian's slightly behind on all the wedding stuff. That's why I had to go and hire a wedding planner" "Brian behind?" Nick chuckled. That didn't sound at all like his best friend. Leigh Anne was one to think things weren't moving along fast though. "Yeah. Anyway, I've gotta get back to picking out my flowers. Go see Brian" Leigh Anne told him, heading back into the living room. "Hey Nicky, what brings you here?" "God damn it Brian! How many times have I told you NOT to call me Nicky? You know how much I hate it" Brian got up from his lawn chair and pulled his sunglasses on top of his head. "That's exactly why I call you that" he laughed. "Ugh. Anyway, I just dropped by to find out about where and when to go for my fitting. The best man needs to be prepared ya know" "The groom needs to be prepared too" Brian said sitting back down. Nick grabbed another chair and sat down in front of him. "Hmmmm, am I sensing a man with second thoughts?" "No, no I'm not having second thoughts. This is what I want. I just can't seem to bring myself to get the plans moving" "Brian...I think that's you having second thoughts. If you were absolutely sure this is what you wanted then you'd be flying through these plans" "That's not true. You know how much I love Leigh, I'm just scared I'll do something she won't like" "Aight, if you say so. Just let me know about the tux thing okay? Oh, I won't be home tomorrow night so if you figure it out by then just leave a message on my machine or something kay?" "And where is little Nicky gonna be tomorrow?" Brian smirked. "I gotta see my dad at the university. He's probably gonna try and convince me to go out with that snobby girl he's been trying to hook me up with for months. Blah on her. Thennnnnn, at 8 I've got a date" "Woohoo, go Nick" "Brian! I need your help with something" they heard Leigh Anne call from inside. "Duty calls" Brian said standing up. "I'll see ya Bri" |
