| "Bread, milk, eggs, Fruit Loops..." Julia went over her grocery list in her head as she stood up, gathered her books and left her psychology class. She made her way through the throngs of people with the few tricks she had learned not long after she got to the University of Central Florida. She squeezed in and out of people as she usually did until, she felt her books go flying. She cursed under her breath and knelt down around the people to pick up her books. "Im so sorry Miss." She looked up and was quite surprised to see someone actually helping her gather her books. "Sorry?" "Yes...I pushed you...by accident of course...Im so sorry, I am just in a rush. My father has no patience and I am late enough as it is to see him." "Its alright. Really it is." He smiled kindly and stood up, she followed. He handed her the last book he had and smiled at her, she smiled back. His blue eyes seemed to twinkle when he did so. He turned his head towards the ground and turned around, she sighed and also turned around. She quickly made her way out of the building thinking only of the mans soft blue eyes. She walked across the campus and across the street where her dorm was. She ran up the flights of stairs, smiled to her neighbors and walked into her room, "Tiff?" She called out. "Hey, how was class?" "It was alright." She said as she took off her light spring jacket and smiled at her tall, red headed room mate. "Whats the smile for?" Tiff asked. "What?" "The giddy smile you just gave me...hmm, lets see it must have something to do with the opposite sex." Julia looked away from Tiffs gaze. "So Im right!" "Come on, we gotta go get groceries." Julia said changing the subject. "Yeah whatever." Tiff answered as she followed Julia out the door. The two girls made their way outside. They were on their way to Tiffs car when Julia looked up and saw the man she had seen earlier walk past her. He looked up at her and smiled. As they passed each other Julia turned and watched him go, admiring his back side. She bit her lip softly as he turned around, as if he knew what she was thinking. He smiled as he continued to look at her, still going in the opposite direction. "So that was the guy that made you giddy." Tiff said once Julias attention was back on what was in front of her. "Hit me Tiff." Tiff looked at her and smiled, "Why?" "He is so good looking." Julia whined as she sat down in the passenger seat. "So ask him out." "What? I dont even know his name." "What do you know about him?" Tiff asked as she started the car and they began driving down the road en route to the grocery store. "I know he has amazing blue eyes." Tiff began laughing, "You are hopeless." She said as she turned the radio on. ~*~ "But whats so good about blue eyes anyway, they are just another color right?" Julia stopped and looked at Tiff as they turned into the next isle at the grocery store. Tiff picked up a loaf of bread and put it into their basket while nodding at Julia. "Right, so yeah blue eyes suck. They are so...blah...everyones got them...brown are much better." Julia rambled on and on, trying to convince herself of what she was saying. "Whats so bad about blue eyes? I happen to own a pair myself." Julia looked up and was speechless as her blue eyed stranger appeared in front of her holding a bag of chips. Tiff smiled at her and continued to walk down the isle. "Nothings wrong with blue eyes...I uh..." He smiled, "Im Nick." He extended his hand. Julia looked down at it and took his hand, he shook it warmly, "Well Miss Blue eyes are so blah do you have a name?" "Uh, yes...Julia." "Julia?" She nodded slowly as she let go of his hand. "Well Julia, this is the third time I've seen you in what? an hour?" He asked as he looked down at his watch. She nodded as he continued, "Maybe somewhere, Cupid is trying to tell us something." She smiled and looked away from his gaze to see Tiff behind him farther down the isle sneaking peaks at them. "Like what?" She asked as she bit her lip playfully. "Like maybe we should get together...Friday at about eight."She smiled. "Thats if you dont get too revolted by my baby blues." He teased as he fluttered his eye lashes. She giggled and looked down at her hands. She looked back up at him, "Yeah Friday sounds great." Nick smiled, "So Julia, do you have a last name?" He asked. "Harris." "Julia Harris, do you have a phone number?" She smiled and dug around in her pocket until she pulled out a florescent pink pen. He chuckled at the sight and starred contently at her facial features as she scribbled her number onto his palm. She looked back at him and smiled, "I should get back to my friend." He nodded, "Ill call you." She smiled and began walking down the isle towards Tiff, who when she saw her coming quickly picked up a box and began reading the ingredients. When Julia got to her, she smiled. "I have a date!" "Bitchin!" Julia laughed at her friend and together they began walking towards the next isle. "So like I was saying, blue eyes are I think my favorite eye color." Tiff laughed at her friend as she began rambling on about what Nick had said. ~*~*~*~ Brian Littrell ran into his fiancs house. He looked for her and sighed happily when he saw her busy talking to a women as they walked through her garden. Maybe she wouldnt realize he was late. Brian quickly walked out the sliding doors that lead to the back garden and kissed his fianc on the cheek. She looked up at him and smiled, "Brian this is the wedding co-ordinator we hired, Jo Willis." Brian looked at the woman. She looked up from her clipboard and smiled at him, "Ah the groom." She said softly as she offered him her hand. He smiled kindly and shook it warmly, as he looked her up and down. She was wearing a skirt with a matching business suit like jacket, her short hair was pulled up with tiny twists at the front but left wild at the back. "Well Mr. Littrell Im glad you are here, I have a few things to go over with you." "You can do that another time." Leigh Anne, Brians fianc replied rather coldly as she looked at her. "Alright...when would be a good time?" "We will call you when we have decided when will be a good time." Jo looked at her and plastered a smile on her face, "Yes Miss Wallace." Brian smiled at her apologetically for his fiancs actions. "It was nice meeting you Mr. Littrell. Ill talk to you soon Miss Wallace." She nodded and Jo quickly left the garden. Brian watched her leave. Something made him turn his head and watch her. He didnt think anything of it. What he did think about though was why he couldnt take his eyes off her. "Ah I hate her!" Leigh Anne shrieked bringing Brians attention back. "Why?" "Just the way she was acting like as if she had somewhere more important to be." Leigh Anne sighed, "Lets just go inside Brian." He nodded as she took his hand. ~*~ "I hate stupid, rich, priss bitches." Jo said to herself as she walked across the front lawn with her brief case. She bent over and pulled off her left shoe followed by the right, "I hate high heels more though." She fumed, "Who knew when I decided to become a wedding co-ordinator that I would have to wear such damn un-comfortable shoes." She sighed and got into her car. She quickly pulled her car out of the drive way and began her way down the road, letting the wind blow around her. "Please God let me just get through this wedding without killing the bride." |
