"Blacksmith, his wife Barbara and Mule64-1/2 came to the house to join in on the "Assembly Party". We got a LOT of work done on Trixie.....things I could have never done by myself. We ate infamous "Rub Bryan" pork ribs, drank a lot of adult beverages, and in general had a WONDERFUL weekend. THANKS GUYS !!! |

We discovered that the cowl had been patched, not once, but twice. We debated about fabricating a patch panel, but decided to take a road trip to Stacy's Concourse Restorations in Rutherford County where Mark had a 65 parts car. Mark was kind enough to cut out a patch panel for us. |

After making our cuts, it was worse than we thought underneith. We took out ALL the rust using wire wheels and grinders. Then used a rust inhibitor primer, then painted with a rust inhibiting paint, put a thin coat of bondo over that, and finally put a top layer of primer. It shouldn't leak for at least 20 years. (or until Dynacorn decideds to finally put out the cowl assembly they've been talking about for years) |

Joe (Blacksmith) doing the tack-welds on the new panel. I'll weld it in fully at a future date. |

We mounted the doors and did a 1:00am test fit on the left fender. With the doors mounted, we were able to fully mount the right quarter and get the left ready to go. |
