Installing Gauges in the Shelby Dash Pod
On the previous page, I covered the installation of aftermarket gauges into a factory style bezel.  Here, I'm installing gauges into the Shelby Dash Pod.  I used the same tools as before (Dremmel and the two bits).  Again, remember to work slow and stop often to test fit.
Front and Back of the new gauge pod.  The pod is set up for one 3 3/8" gauge and one 2" or 2 1/16" gauges.  The pod mounts in the center "dip" of the dash and the raised openings are angled to face the driver.
These are the two gauges I chose to install in the pod.  Of course a 3 3/8" tachometer, and the second is an air/fuel meter.

The air fuel meter monitors your mix and tells you if the engine is running rich (yellow), lean (red) or optimal (green).
In order to make this gauge work, you mount any 4-wire oxygen sensor (available at any parts house) to the exhaust pipe (s).  It will work with either single or dual exhaust.
The gauges installed in the pod, ready to wire up
The holes have been cut and the gauges have been test fitted
