Little Welsh boy's ten point guide to surviving privatised British Rail
- Work out a good route that avoids changing trains or traveling with a 'bad' operator
- Never try and travel during an industrial dispute or 'Engineering works' (every Sunday you want to travel and none you don't!)
- So that you don't pay too much DEMAND the cheapest ticket possible
- Start planning your journey early (up to three months in advance, if you can!)
- Don't travel on a Friday or near Christmas
- Take a warm coat
- Pack supplies
- Talk to people
- Resist the temptation to take 'souvenirs' from the antiquated rolling stock
- er... that's it
I like traveling by train almost as much as I do by pedal bike...
