Distance
Number indicates approximate one-way driving distance to the meeting place from Littleton.
4WD
Four-wheel Drive
No: not needed;
Opt: optional (useful if you have one, if you don't, you may need to ride a short distance with someone else);
Rec: recommended.
Kids
OK: Okay! A good place for kids.
Sup: Supervision required for small children; some potentially hazardous areas, such as steep cliffs, mine tunnels, etc.
NR: Not Recommended that you bring small kids.
Tools
L: Light collecting tools needed (rock pick, sack, scoop, eye protection).
D: Digging tools typically used for pegmatite required (rock pick, pick and shovel, pry bar, chisels, trowel, brush, screwdriver probe, eye protection).
H: Heavy rock breaking tools required (rock pick, sledge, chisels, pry bar, eye protection).
Camping
Camping, if noted, is possible at the site (optional for an overnight stay).
