Steering

The engine bracket which allowed the fuel tank to sit on the bottom step caused problems with the steering installation.
The front of the outboard is 100mm behind the stern so it was not possible to take the steering rod through a gentle sweeping curve through the toilet compartment. Neither was it possible to come out of the hull & turn a sharp 90 degrees as the control can't be bent through such a tight angle.
Instead I made a bracket to hold the steering tube rigidly to the stern & a link with a swivel each end fitted to the underside of the outboard. This system works perfectly & allows the outboard to be tilted freely. It does get in the way slightly when usiing the styrup to get in the boat
