I adapted John's suggestion of using an aluminium awning channel section to fit a cover to the front of the boat. I removed the existing gutter & replaced it with a 15 x 15 channel section from B&Q with the awning section bolted to the front of that. This was very worthwhile as it keeps the well deck dry & clean.
