Castles that I saw, and things inside them.

I have decided I want one, or two or three. giggle. :)

Royal Castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangar Neuschwanstein is the castle in the front, lower left corner. It was built by Ludwig II. It was never finished on the inside, so only a few of the rooms are decorated. The ones that are decorated are done showing scenes from various operas. Hohenschwangar was built by his father Maxamillion. It was incredible, and had a really gorgeous tour guide, tee hee. These castles were two of my favorites. Germany(postcard)

Court of Atli 'After some time the Knights of Franken are invited to the Court of Atli. They are greeted graciously and warmly, and nothing suggests that the Queen is planning a fearful act. A magnificent banquet awaits the guests from afar. After the excellent repast heavy wine is offered from gold and silver tankards.'(postcard)

Death of Gudrun 'After the banquet Gudrun suddenly gives the Huns a sign and they attack the unsuspecting and drunken Franks. During this dreadful slaughter all Gunnar's knights are killed, whilst he himself is thrown by his sister into the snakepit. After this, Gudrun throws a burning torch into the Castle and throws herself into the Danube.'(postcard)
