31 August Tuesday
Teachers' Day Celebration
More like a day where we gather with our old sec sch friends... Let's start from the morning: The ACES workout thingy was so pathetic...besides those enthu teachers and councillors, most of the students didn't bother to do it properly...our limbs were so reluctant to move. Poor planning by the PE department.... Most ppl, including me who didn't learn the workout at all, were forced to evacuate our class benches and gather at the central plaza by order of the teachers. The workout was quite repetitive, longer than expected, and the music kept changing. The last ACES workout I did was during primary school where each of the students were given a cap to throw in the air after the exercise ended....haha.

Then there was a performance in the audi. The front part was boring....almost fell asleep...partly due to darkness. The first item by the new teachers, a skit...couldn't hear what they are saying....the second item by "older" teachers, a fashion show, was better. Didn't expect Mdm Yeo to participate in the performance too! Haha...she dressed into a funny costume which looked like a bunny girl and catwalked across the stage! ¬_¬

After the long Teachers' Day concert, I went back to tchs and met up with many old 4C friends as well as teachers. Took a pic with Miss Pek too! ^_^  Some teachers who only taught us for a while, pretended to know us when we tried to approach them, even though I doubt they knew we were ever their students before. Not that we were desperate to find such teachers, it's becos those "significant teachers" had disappeared by the time we got there.

After that we went to Taka's Sushi Tei for lunch...first time eating in a sushi restaurant...quite expensive. Terence the poor little rich boy helped the class to foot the atrocious $170-bill with his card. Of course the rest later returned the money to him lah...haha. How can we bully such a cute teddy bear? Went to see the restaurant where the tchs and hcjc staff were having their lunch....unfortunately the restaurant was designed in such a way that outsiders cannot see the ppl inside...haiz...

Some decided to go home while me and 5 other friends went to Keith's house to play Mahjong. I think I'm getting interested in Mahjong liao! It's so fun...and noisy...hehe...

This might be the last time where 4C can gather as a class...dunno if next year they are going to go back during CNY or Teachers' Day...but most probably not...  Today has been really really really fun!

30 August Monday
Maths Tests
Today's test was quite ok lah, even though some ppl say it's harder than the Section B one. The hard part was the volume question, which I almost died attempting it. There were just too much terms to handle. Then Mdm Yeo told us a simpler way to do it... Anyway congrats to Jia Ling for scoring 48/50 for the test! I would never ever get that high cos I skipped a very very easy 6-mark qn (shh...I haven't told anyone yet)...how stupid can I be... I couldn't think of it initially and skipped that qn, but then I had no time to return anymore cos most of the time is wasted on the volume qn....sigh....haiz....

Got back Section B Maths Test...30/40...my prediction is quite accurate! Did better than expected on some qns but the locus one was poorly done. Nvm lah...75% good enough liao. If I get at least a 75% in my Section A test, I will have abt 11.3% for lecture test. BT contributes abt 17.5%. Thus I need to score abt 77/100 for promos to get an A for F Maths...do you think it's possible? Hehe... Need not worry much abt Maths C cos all double maths students shld be able to get an A. As for Chem, as long as I continue to work hard and dun slack, an A shld be within reach. I think I  have to say bye bye to an A in Physics liao...cos I will need to score at least 82/100 in promos to secure an A...it's all because of my BT results... Just bought a Physics reference book, hope it will help...

The lecturer for "Physics of Fluids",Mr Loi, sounded like a cartoon character. His voice is just soooo cartoonish and funny, esp his "errrr....." and "ooohhh...". Yah...I remember now...he reminds me of the character Droopy (I think)...the dog with the very long face which also speaks like that....haha.

Can't stand Dawes' lesson anymore...1h 20min of his droning voice is driving me nuts. The Bala-days are coming back... I wonder what have I done to get taught by English teachers who know nothing abt motivating their students. All they could do was to write crap on the whiteboard or transparencies, give out useless handouts which are no better than my toilet roll, discuss boring topics and expect everyone to keep awake throughout the lesson, order us to do assignments when they know obviously nobody would bother to do it.

Tmr's Teachers' Day...  I noticed that as we go up the level, we lose the tendency to buy presents for teachers. I remember last time during my primary school days, I was busy shopping for gifts, cracking my brain on what to buy for each individual teachers. Then the teachers ended up man3 zai4 er2 gui1 cos every student gave their own presents. Maybe next time I shall be a primary school teacher...hehe.

27 August Friday
Bzzz...
A total waste of time for GP today...I'm beginning to detest this new teacher already. No matter where the lesson was held, be it a stuffy classroom, library's discussion room, cleaning squad's storeroom, toilet, dry riser, sewers,...it would still be as boring. It's not only me...even the class has already begun to switch off during his lesson. I really want to see how other GP teachers conduct their lessons...and whether other classes will respond in the same way as we do.

Did the first electricity experiment for the year... Initially my set-up couldn't work at all and I was very frustrated. Then I realised that my bulb is not screwed tightly...stupid bulb. (anyway for the entire experiment I didn't see the bulb light at all...) Nevertheless I still think electricity experiments are very fun...connect here connect there...easy to set up and take readings...hehe.

Almost thought that I was attending Physics O....cos the topic was "Gas law". The lecture was soooo physics...a lot of calculation and units conversion. The lecturer didn't intro herself...but I think I know who she is... And I noticed the notes used was for JC1s last year...they must be soooo lucky to have such detailed and concise notes, as compared to Mdm Ching's lauya notes this year. Talking abt Mdm Ching, I heard she's also very lauya herself...from both her tutorial classes as well as teachers. If not, why was she given the job to lecture such a teeny weeny minor topic? And why is she in charge of the trivial task of invigilating lecture tests and going thru them? There's more to meet than eye...  Anyway back to gas law, the only thing I found new was the Van der Waals' Equation. (Haha...I bet most of u dun even know that VDW has his own equation too!) For those who want to know how it looks like, you may refer to the first Physics Tutorial: Physical Quantities and Units.

26 August Thursday
Maths Test
Today's test was sooo...arghhhh *vomits all over the floor* Vector qns are always giving me so many problems. Last time got mother bird baby bird thingy, then now the values calculated are sooo humongous...can go up to 6 digits lor. I discovered my mistake at the last minute and was unable to finish the subsequent parts, which was very easy. What a pity! Besides this and other difficult qns which only carries a miserable 2-mark, the rest were rather easy and straight foward. (The method of difference qn was a joke...) So if I'm lucky, I may get 30/40 and above...hehe...  Now I must jia you for Analysis test liao!

*takes a mop from the kitchen*     Today's chem lect was quite funny. Mr Ng showed us a "Barney and Friends" video with the opening music. Then he took out his Barney plushie and tried to relate Barney with the lecture. (didn't catch what he said...) Before the end of lecture, he told us abt his maid who got a boyfriend and how he wants to catch that man... -__-  After the lect, he played the Barney ending music, the "I luv u, u luv me" thing...so childish! Ya...Mr Ng was soooo cute when he was small...haha.

*cleans up the mess on the floor*    Hopefully I won't have to do this next Monday.

25 August Wednesday
Royston Tan
Yup...the one who made the film "15" was invited to the school today during CT session. Two of his recent films were being screened. The first one was "48 on AIDS" or sth, which begins with a scene showing a girl facing away from the camera. That scene lasted for very very long and that person was not even doing anything lor. After a few minutes of the stationary scene, the girl finally moved and she was actually blind... I dun see any significance abt this lor...maybe someone who understands its meaning may enlighten me. (I'm surprised no one asked abt this during the Q&A session) Perhaps it was intended to make us doze off first so that no one will realise that the main programme is actually so boring. I won't sympathize with a blind girl who wasted the few minutes of my life watching her stoning away at the bushes. The film is just a documentary featuring some AIDS/HIV patients, or anyone related to the disease. The setting of the film is just too dark...I almost fell asleep.

The second film was much much better...and funny too! It criticises the censorship in Singapore, in a rather indirect manner. ( The "I luv Censorship" thingy is sooo filled with sarcasm...) The idea is conveyed to the viewers in a very creative way...it started with a person complaining to an authority from the censorship board, then a musical...which is very very very lame but super funny! The person who edited the lyrics for the song "We are Singapore" is really "shen2" lor!!! Haha.....

Started on Maclaurin's Expansion today...the results are so amazing! And the lecture is back to Ms Kwee again...yay! Tmr got F Maths section B test...I better go study now...  And I wish my bro a Happy 19th Birthday! Too bad he's not at home during this period.

23 August Monday
Unexpected
Was caught in a very bad traffic jam this morning. There is usually a bit of jam on Mondays but I didn't expect it to be sooo bad. It was a already 7.35 when I reached the bus stop. Fortunately for me, the bus was caught in the jam too so those ppl taking the bus were also late. Then I walked briskly across the bridge until the gate, where I saw a whole lot of students sprinting across the canteen like mad...hoping to get to the plaza before the national anthem was sung. However quite a few students rushing in front of me were stopped by teachers and we had no choice but to walk by the back of the right wing where the PE teachers were stationed. All of us put down our bags and sang the national anthem. Then I took a quick glance behind...and was shocked that there were sooo many ppl who were late like me! Haha...guess I'm not alone... First time being late for school...quite fun actually, esp the rushing part as well as being caught by the teachers...hehe...  Thx to the person who helped me play my part for Prince of Egypt. (most probably Ee Suan)

Then it was the during the Maths lecture where the unexpected happened... Firstly, some J2s infiltrated our LT cos their LT got no air con. Shortly after they left, Mdm Yeo was going blah blah blah then....*POOF* All the lights went out and the whole LT became pitch dark. Ppl started to cheer and shout...and some took out their hps. Couldn't see what was happening down there...but a while later, Mdm Yeo called for some help and the technician tried to fix the circuit. The lights came back when the technician pressed the switch, but went out as soon as he released his hand....haha. Then the lights came back again...then went out again...came back...went out...came back...went out...came back...went out...endlessly until finally dunno how he did it...the lights did not go off again. Whenever the lights was out, ppl start to cheer...whenever the lights were back, ppl start to jeer. And Mdm Yeo's expression was very funny too...haha....she seem to give that kind of "huh? how come liddat?" look.

Then there was a phy lect test...not very difficult but I think I lack the knowledge of certain concepts. Haiz...I've to admit that my phy is very poor, despite taking F Maths...cos most ppl assume that double maths students must be also good in phy. Whenever I tell ppl that I'm very poor in phy and dun like that subject, most will reply," Huh? You're F Maths student leh!"   Very sad lor...received the letter that Mdm Yeo sent to my parents...then saw my block test results...haiz... I think I shld start putting in extra effort to improve my physics and score well in promos. (which I think MAY be possible...contrary to GP...) Maybe I shld go buy some phy reference books. My bro is good in phy so he didn't bother to buy good reference books or study guides for the subject...so I've got to take my own initiative now. On the other hand, he bought quite a few books for chemistry, which I find very useful. Cos his chem poor mah...haha.

Watched Li Jia Wei's match yesterday...so depressing...she was in tears after the match...felt so sad for her. She lost focus after the 3rd game...probably she's thinking too much. Sad to see that some insensitive ppl from the net claimed that she is a diagrace to SG and even told her to go back to China....sigh.   That PRK woman dun deserve the silver lor...she has such poor etiquette during the matches...whenever she scores a point she will go, " Kok Kok Keh! Quack! Quack! Pok pok Kweh!!!" So annoying! Heard she likes to taunt her opponent too...

20 August Friday
Physics SPA
I always seem to plunge into depression whenever I have just finished doing my Physics SPA. The papers are always so demoralising. I wonder if it is becos of my poor Physics or the difficulty of the paper. Can't believe that I actually stumbled on the part to derive the x and y-axes on the graph. I must be forgetting my linear law... The values are so humongous! They range from 500 to 5000 on the x axis and from 30 to 250 in the y axis. I tot I made a mistake and almost wanted to recalculate the entire data. Ya...I noticed a anomalous point too and it was very unexpected since the values were taken from a sample data. However, I still treat it as if there are no anomalous point...wonder if I will be penalised. Mr Lee said 95% there will be no anomalous point in Skill C (ie only 1 out of 20 will have). So I expect no more anomalous data for the rest of the SPA, if not I'll sue Mr Lee.

The Physics dept really dunno how to plan their scheme of work. They are only capable of setting difficult paper, and laugh as all the students die in their hands. They only gave us one practice experiment before the SPA lor...so irresponsible! Ok...so now I can safely put my blame on the physics dept for making me so miserable today.

19 August Thursday
Chem
Oohh...Chem lect is back to Mr John Ng again...that very haolian but funny teacher who does weird things and speaks Singlish. His way of talking is a huge contrast to that of Miss Esther Tan's, which he claim was British English...haha. Ya...I will never forget that "tsk" sound that he always like to make while he speaks... Last time he demonstrated the balloon thingy and today he asked 7 girls to go up the stage to show us the different isomers of heptane (7 C atoms) which is a bit waste of time. Nevertheless I think his lecture quite interesting lah... In overall I think Chem lectures are much more interesting that Physics lectures. Those male physics teachers never fail to bore me.

During PE, I redid my 5 items...in order to achieve a silver grade. With much difficulty, I finally managed to do 5 pull-ups, attaining a D. Then my shutter run and sit ups got a lousy D...haven't been training those for a long time. D for SBJ also, with some difficulty. Then B for sit and reach...What? B? Haha...actually I didn't expect myself to achieve 50cm, which is 1 cm away from the A grade. However the 2nd time I got 43cm instead...dunno why the difference so huge...maybe the 50cm one record wrongly...but I dun really care...haha. I'm also bit surprised to get C for 2.4 cos I dun remember running below 12 min leh...hmm....maybe it's just my poor memory... So in total, I just got 15 points...the minimum score for a silver....haha...Yay!

Did a gas expt for chem...super inaccurate...cos you would never know when to stop the collection of gas when it's possible for the gas bubbles to be produced indefinitely. And the expt is under skill B somemore....yikes...going to lose a lot of marks liao.

18 August Wednesday
Upcoming Events
CT session today is used for the "council-meet-students" session. We were introduced to various council committees in charge of planning a certain event, like Teacher's Day, Open house, and Mid Autumn Festival. I think MAF is the most interesting of all...looking foward to it...it really reminds me of the orientation campfire night....  As for Teachers' Day celebration, I wonder if there's any lesson on that day...I think most probably got cos the lectures are really in need of time. Then the open house...expect to see a majority of Chinese High ppl...as well as my juniors...hopefully they dun recognise me...

Zack was trying to keep us busy by telling us riddles and stuff...haha...good effort! Ee Suan also gave me some riddles of the same kind. The "kind" I mean is...eg: "Mi2 fen3 (beehoon) and yu2(fish), which one more cunning?" Ans is "yu2" cos "Yu2 Pian4 Mi2 Fen3"...ok...very the lame. Hope you understand what I'm writing...

Ok I think that's it...nothing much of interest today.

17 August Tuesday
Kuai Dian Leh! Wo Zai Gan Shi Jian Neh!!!
Ok...this shld be very familar to those who usually watch TV...it's from the ABC Beer advert. The tone of that woman in the ad is just sooo funny and sooo "auntie"...that's why I decided to quote her...haha.

This week got SPA, next week got Chem and Maths Section B lecture tests, the week after got Maths Section A test...how come the teachers always like to leave the tests till the end of the term when everyone is rushing to finish the syllabus by the promos? And ya...the physics lecture test has also disappeared...guessed that they couldn't afford the time, which is very good for us students...tee hee. ALL the lecturers from every department now is complaining that they do not have enough time. Mr Koh wanted a make-up lecture on Friday, Mdm Yeo has also printed solutions for almost every examples in the notes (which is ideal). Then Miss Tan is threatening us to make us come for a make-up lecture on a Saturday morning like the Bio lect. (which is also running out of time too) Miss Quek is attempting to rush but ends up making us more confused instead. You see...every lecturer is just rushing like mad before the end of the term....and why is this so? This question is up for everyone to ponder...

Learnt De Mouirve (sp?) Theorem today...those qns are just so crazy...expecting us to expand up to powers of 8...siao. The workings are sooo repetitive and tedious...I really wonder how many marks do those qns really carry? Noticed that Mr Koh has the habit to turn and look at me whenever someone near me is asking him a qn. Aiyoh...Mr Koh...relax lah...I'm not going to give negative comments or anything....

Apparently a lot of ppl are unhappy abt the name of the school after hcjc merges with tchs, esp the chinese name...Hua Qiao Zhong Xue. It's obviously the same as chinese high's one lor..."zhong xue" somemore... We are going to be the first batch of Sec 6 next year...hoho...so privileged. Also felt like I'm being demoted or sth...from JC this year to "Sec sch" next year... Fortunately the English name is not as outrageous. Most non-Chinese High ppl in my class, esp the girls, are very unhappy abt studying with the chinese high boys next year. Shuk In was talking bad abt them...saying that they are not as gentlemanly as RI boys. Dunno if Chen Xi was really affected by this comment...  As for me I'm quite neutral....I'm fine with studying with them (which is obviously so since I studied there for like 4 years liao!)...and I dun mind if ppl talk bad abt them. Ppl always say I've got the looks and behaviour of a typical Chinese High student...haiz...what to do?

GP lesson today was so slack. Say Kai pointed out that Mr Dawes has similar characteristics as Mr Bala....both like to scribble on the board (except that Mr Dawes' handwriting is more legible that Mr Bala's...) then I also added that both like to tell students to sit up straight (or mind our sitting posture) and like to waste time discussing abt one minor point... But he's much much much better than Mr Bala lah...at least he dun go around toking sex stuff, haolian-ing his sexual knowledge...

Saw someone in the LRT today working on a "Word Search" puzzle book. Haha...this reminds me of the days many years back when I was addicted to doing such puzzles. And ya...I managed to complete the whole book too... I think word search is still very fun, much better than crossword puzzles, which requires good knowledge of vocabulary and I obviously dun have it. Maybe I'll go and purchase a book someday...heee....

16 August Monday
!@#$%^&*
Didn't update for this weekend cos too busy. Busy sleeping. Sometimes I feel that I have inhaled large amounts of sleeping gas lately which made me doze off shortly after my head comes in contact with my bed. Maybe doing homework in my bedroom is a very bad idea, but I can't seem to find any more suitable places to do my homework in peace, without being distracted by the very very very noisy monkey storming around my house, squealing away. Maybe life is too boring during the weekends...nothing but tutorials. Perhaps I shld start playing some PS2 games, going out to catch some movies (with somebody). A good time would be after sept holidays since ccas are supposed to be suspended during that period. Then ppl will say, "Promos is around the corner and yet you still want to go and play??" I will reply, "Oei hello? I played my bao bei PS2 during the entire prelim/O lvl period and I didn't do badly or anything"  ...This shows that my performance in tests/exams is independent of the time I spent in playing games. As for certain ppl, their performance in tests/exams is independent of the amount of effort put in to study. This can be good or bad....you know what I mean.

Got back Maths Test Section B...15/25 (+ 4 marks) Total (including the 4 marks): 40/50. Some ppl may ask how come there's this 4 marks thingy...ok this 4 marks are what we all deserve...due to the teacher's folly in setting such a stupid qn. It appears that this qn is easy to solve, but given the way the qn is phrased, I doubt most could do it. So the 4 marks rightfully belong to us...nuff said.

Encountered sth in the bus today which pissed me off. A group of 3 girls were standing on the walkway of the bus cos the seats were full. Then a middle-aged man stood up from his seat and wanted to get off the bus, so he said "Excuse me" to the 3 girls. Then the Indian girl, who was just in front of him, tried to give way by moving to the rear so that the man can pass. Unfortunately the girl's bulky bag knocked onto the man, who exclaimed with a loud "aiyoh!" (ya...he was trying to let everyone in the bus know that he was knocked) The girl immediately apologised but the man continued, "Please lah! Come on!" to the embarrassed girl. I can't see the link of what he said, and I dunno what he was trying to say...whether is it "Pls lah! Only knock a bit also want to apologise...come on! Be more thick-skinned!" or "Pls lah! You didn't eat rice issit? Knock harder lah! So that I can let everyone know that you hit me and I can sue you for assault. Come on...do it again!" Obviously this man was very frustrated that the girl's bag knocked onto him and wanted to express his unhappiness. But the girl was an Indian and he could only speak in English, and hence he made that senseless remark, in attempt to vent his frustration on her. It's not that the girl did it on purpose, cos her bag was so bulky and she probably didn't noticed it. (Sometimes in a crowded bus my bag will knock on someone unknowingly) And now this man made it look like the girl injured him badly and she shld kowtow to him or sth. Moreover the girl had already apologised and the man still tok tok tok nonsense so much. Maybe the man deliberately allowed the girl to hit him so that he will have the opportunity and reason to vent his anger on somebody. In that case the man deserved to be knocked onto.

Our 2nd new GP teacher is Mr Dawes. Very weird surname and surprisingly he's not an angmoh...like Nirmala Ong...who is not a Chinese... Funny leh...how come Indians like to adopt names that does not belong to their own race...weird. We did a GP essay test and I only managed to write one sheet of paper...haiz...I think my standard is really deteriorating. After the test, Mrs Tan, head of English department, came into the class and said that we took advantage of the situation, when Mrs Soo is absent, by not handing up our work. In the end, poor Jieying and Bingye were scolded as they haven't handed up their work yet. Never expect Mr Lim to report to the Head and now she knows that S34 refused to hand in work...sad.

I think I have the characteristics of a PRC, like what Wenjia said, cos I am good in Maths but poor in GP. I think most of the PRCs in the non-special class have already surpassed my standards and I'll soon be worse than them. Some ppl say I can surely take S-papers but I think with my current GP results, s-papers are definitely out of reach. It requires at least a C5 I think...which I can barely attain. If worst come to worst, I failed my GP sooo badly that I am unable to be promoted to J2 (It is not very likely since GP is not included in the all the criteria for promotion and I can choose to use my other subjects instead) I think I can shake my legs for the rest of that year while the J1s are grumbling abt the huge load of tutorials they have to handle. Then I'll become lame...literally lame, cos I shake my legs until they drop off. Haha...now I'm being lame...'not literally' lame...ok are you confused? Shld I fail to achieve anything that I shld have achieved just becos of GP, it's all so sad...and it's just too bad. (hey that rhymes, isn't it?)

Read from an article some time ago which says that Singaporean's Mandarin standard is poor and English also cannot make it. Very true, we are only good in using Singlish and if there were to be a subject on it, everyone is bound to pass with flying colours...haha. Those who go, "GP rockzzz!!!...I can't stand ppl using Singlish!...English rocks my life!!...Speaking good English is more superior!...English is such an easy subject!...Those who fail English are dumbasses..." Just get lost lah! Singapore dun need you...you can migrate to US and nobody will miss you a bit!

First day of the Seventh Month...beware of the high PSI. Close your windows so ashes dun get into your house. Dun loiter around your void deck for too long if not you will suffocate to death. Wear a mask whenever you go outdoors. If it gets too smoky, extinguish the joss sticks by stepping onto them...or use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire in the incense bin. The ghosts won't mind cos they know air pollution is bad for health and they will protect the people from being harmed by the smoke.

13 August Friday (notice the date)
Chen Si
Haha...I just feel like writing his "name". Sometimes ppl will take a break from their hectic lives and start to chen2 si1 abt the things they have done...  As for me, I will start to dream that PW has already ended and we will be in J2 very soon.... Most students dislike PW and so are the teachers. Some may not like the SPA system and the teachers too, are no exceptions. And GP...sad to say that Mr Lim is not taking our class after today, as another relief teacher would take over. Maybe he dun like to teach our class? Find our class too boring? Or maybe he's just too busy to handle another J1 class.... Some say he heck care abt our class...hmmm...possible...that's the characteristics of  most relief teachers. Ok...I also dun really know why am I writing all these...the sentences don't seem to flow at all...haha.

Got back my Maths test Section A results today....Mdm Yeo is super super efficient....or issit becos she's too free liao? 21/25....didn't expect to get that much...noticed that she's very very generous with marks. Even though my answer is wrong, she still gave me marks for irrelevant workings...maybe I dunno those were actually relevant...? Just a few lines then got 6 marks liao...haha...perhaps maths is always like that...

Just as I expected, Mr Koh really set that stupid qn...haizzzzzz. He tried to explain himself by saying that A lvl qns also got set qns like this. However instead of trees and birds, it is abt flag poles...at least flag poles make more sense than trees and birds... Then Mr Koh also said sth abt vector eqn of a stool (four legs and a plane). That's like so O_O ... Hoho...I can also make a vector equation of my bed....

Let's talk abt chem O! Haha...Mr Lee must be really tired today cos the lecture was rather boring. Btw today's lecture was on the rest of the A lvl syllabus of Organic Chemistry...that means we've completed the whole of Organic chem for the A lvls! (except those that are going to be taught after Electrolysis)...shuang rite?

Jeff's is finally back...after missing soooo many events like Homecoming Carnival and NDP, Band jts/handover. Welcome back and hope you also enjoyed your trip very much...  Ya...the clarinet section also needs you....and I'll be waiting for your assorted chocolates tmr!

12 August Thursday
Busy again?? PW sucks
Again...it's the stupid PW...WR now...the word limit is being exceeded like mad. If I summarise, it might not be detailed enough, so I really dunno what to do....heck lahHHH! Ok...I didn't update my web for the past few days cos I'm too busy with PW as well as studying for today's Maths test. So sad....screwed up Section B again. (issit becos Mr Koh isn't doing his job good enough?) There is this crap question that becomes more and more ridiculous as I read along. The Mother Bird and Baby Bird thingy...so sickening... Yeah yeah...a mirror also...I think the birds can consider using a telephone line too...more convenient right? Can chirp to each other also. The teachers must be trying very hard to relate the concept of vectors in real life...but unfortunately they have chose the wrong species of animals to work with. Birds dun understand vectors, do they? Then why the heck would they care abt the distance between them, mirror, vector equation of light rays....blah blah. The more I think the more stupid it is to me. Section A so-so lah...except that a lot of ppl had the difficulty finding the angle in the last part of qn.

Holy showed her true colours again... She forbade us to share TYS and forced us to borrow TYS from wherever place we can borrow. Thanks a lot to Wenjia for being able to borrow 2 TYS(es). Thx thxxx...

PE today...Netball...ppl...pass to....Thazin...Me....catch...the...ball...Thazin...must....catch....better....Chen Xi....dun steal....Jie Ying....so sad.....    Hope you know what I'm trying to say...haha. I think I'm getting very rough today...dunno why...I just have the urge to intercept ppl's ball and even hit the ball away from their hands. Yao Chun did a better job today. (maybe becos I'm not there to 'help' him this time) I think I have the phobia of catching balls or sth...haha....I dun really have the courage to stretch my hands out to grab the ball lor...haiz.

I think I shld be less descriptive of things happening in sch from now on...since it gets rather boring esp to those that has experienced it already. The 'Homecoming carnival' entry was a really poor example of a good blog entry...too descriptive...I'm not writing a Ji4 Xu4 Wen2 here....  Oh ya...what's the purpose of "okie dokie"? (for those who usually see/use this phrase) Doesn't it have the same meaning as an "ok"? It sounds rather insulting cos I always pronounce it as "O-K Donkey"....  Or is it those ppl who use it are just trying to act cute? (>_> no offense...)

9 August Monday
National Day
I know my blog has been stagnant for a long time liao...it's not that there's nothing much to write abt, it's becos there's too much things happening for me to have any time to write. Ya...I have been very busy enjoying myself for the past few days...and the good thing is, I still got one more day to settle on my tutorials! Wahahaha...this holiday rockzzz.

Went to the Wild Wild Wet water theme park on Saturday with my relatives (you all have heard of this place right?). Most of you shld have seen from TV or advertisements the rides and attractions there...such as the huge Vitagen can which tips over every now and then, man-made waves, flume rides, etc... Totally enjoyed myself...even though I feel like a kid running around in swimming trunks.... Bad thing is, I'm partially blind without my goggles and even with my goggles, I won't see clearly too. I also feel like an idiot running around wearing goggles while others need not wear them at all. However there are not much rides and one may get bored easily. Nevertheless I still think it's quite fun. ^_^

Yesterday afternoon was spent in the Serene Centre MacDonalds discussing PW. After that something happened...dun feel like talking abt it...I just feel so cheated...maybe I'm too soft-hearted liao...haiz.

At night, I went for the band handover cum jts dinner at Sentosa. The restaurant is located in a stationary boat. The dining hall is sooo luxurious...with long tables and a stage too! As the dinner was buffet-style, I ate quite a lot until my tummy was almost going to burst...ah...the food is just soooo delicious! Had a lot of fun and laughter....

I would like to wish Singapore a happy 39th birthday!

6 August Friday
National Day Celebrations!
Unlike sec schs, there is no uniform group ccas in jcs so there's no parade march during the morning assembly. The only event was a group of 5 guys carrying the flag and marching through the central plaza. Oh yah...our class stall, dumplings and porridge, won the best food stall! Congratulations! Well done to the PRCs for their hard work! ^_^ Kinda unexpected lah...considering that some ppl say our stall too cheena liao. I guess that those teachers who ordered our dumplings played a crucial role in helping us win the award...

Immediately after morning assembly, almost all of my senior class ran away from school for their class outing. -___- Haiz...I cannot "zao" cos I got chem o training after the celebration. Was feeling very lonely during the performance cos no ppl to talk to...

The programme started off with the National Day song writing competition finals. Was looking forward to Zhiwei's performance...hehe. Most of the songs are quite nice, some of the tunes was rather cliche, but I still think that the music composed by Zhiwei's is the best...so lively and stimulating! Unfortunately the sound system in the hall wasn't so good and the music seems to be very soft and muffled. It could have been much better. Ya...I also like the slide presentation too. Near the end of the song, it showed the various National Day logos/themes for every year...somehow it brings me back to the past...

Then there was a solo performance by a student...I think it's called "che3 ling2" or sth...(according to the display) It's abt juggling a dumbell shaped object on a rope (looks like a skipping rope to me). Wah...he's so qiang lor...I was like "wow-ing" for the whole time...haha. The funny thing is, the background music was the Power Ranger theme song...-___-" (Go Go Power Rangers! Mighty Morphy Power Ranger-ers!)

The next item was a NE quiz. There was a part where the teachers were asked to demonstrate how to play "zero point" (I'm sure most of u still remember this childhood game) Surprisingly the teachers played very well...ya...Mr Koh played along too...haha. I still remember in the past I was unable to cross the 'waist' level, and never ever got to the 'ear' (or even head) level...maybe cos I'm still quite short at that time and my jumping sucks..haha. Then there was a chapteh competition..... (aiyoh, Zack, how cum liddat???) Nuff said.

The last item was mass singing, led by choir...we sang all the theme songs except "One United People"...(dunno why) And we did the Fun Dance too...but I already forgot everything liao...keke.... (Last time in tchs we were supposed to stay back to learn the dance but a lot of ppl pon...me didn't pon lah!) The qi4 fen4 was quite high at that time...

After the whole programme, I went for chem o...learnt a lot a lot of stuff on periodicity....high charge density, diagonal relationship, flame colour and spectra, superoxides, p-(pi) p-(pi) interaction, boranes, cynides, inert pair effect, etc....BRAIN OVERLOAD!!!

5 August Thursday
Sigh....
Band is such a headache...there's supposed to be a jts and handover this weekend...and yesterday I heard it was confirmed to be on Saturday...but then today I heard it was Sunday. And today I was scolded by Michelle too...for not informing her in advance. Unfortunately all of the clarinet section cannot make it on that day... Nah...of course I won't be so stupid to go alone lah. Ee Suan is planning to organise the section's own jts on Sat. But it is like ostracising ourselves from the rest of the band lor. And what will the band think if the whole clarinet section disappears on that day?

Something to be happy abt...the 5 day-long holiday starts from now!!! Hahaha...so shuang!

*REQUEST FROM KAIZHI* During Maths lecture, Kaizhi physically harassed me... *REQUEST FROM KAIZHI*

You see, Kaizhi? I mentioned abt you leh! You must be feeling very honoured now...come on...thank me or sth....

4 August Wednesday
Free Free Free (this colour combi reminds me of snow...)
Actually I'm still rather busy since there's a lot of things to settle before the long break comes. But I didn't expect myself to come home so early today as compared to the past few days where I only reached home after 7. There was a National Day rehearsal this afternoon, and it was done quite quickly, after which the band was dismissed. Finally got an afternoon nap too...

I tot we have just handed in the GPF for checking not long ago...now we've to submit the 1st draft of WR too...arghhhhh!

Went to visit the photo exhibition during CT session...saw a picture of Mdm Yeo when she was young...haha...very pretty! (quoted from Zhaoyang) Wah...didn't know that there are soooo many teachers who are ex-hwachongians....some of them was from the band...and played the clarinet too...haha. The hc compound has been shifted many times lor...from Woodlands, Bukit Batok, etc...what an eventful history!

One more day (that is, tmr...) before we are off to enjoy! Have you put up your flags yet? (Reminds me of that advert "Ni3 pai2 le ma1?".....)

3 August Tuesday
Busy Busy Busy (what does this colour combi reminds you of?)
Oohh...it's August liao! ^_^ So fast... One turn of eye, (yi zhuan yan) half of term 3 is already over...furthermore this week and next week will be very short. (3 school days per week only!) The hc students were given a break yesterday and today we adhered to the Monday's timetable instead...dunno why. Despite the long weekend, I was still unable to finish all the required homework for this week. There's just soooo much things to do. During chem tutorial, Holy flared up because a lot of ppl didn't do their tutorial. (I only did half...) And poor Yao Chun was chased out of class becos he used other ppl's tutorial to present on the board. Ya...quite a few ppl in class were sick today. (issit cos of the after-effects of the carnival?) Actually I also felt a bit feverish too... Perhaps becos of the weather? Dunno...

Started on the new topic of Application of Integration today... The back of the lecture notes looks very scary leh...got volume, centroid, moments, etc...It's getting very "physics" liao! Our new relief GP teacher is Mr Lim. (never seen or heard abt him before) But I can say that his lesson is much more interesting than Mrs Soo's. We watched a video on Euthanasia today and I really enjoyed the discussion. (though I was quiet all the time) Too bad he's only teaching us for 2 weeks before Mrs Soo returns...haiz.   During band prac, we practised 2 marches for National Day celebration on Friday, as well as sorting out the scores...so time-consuming!

An interesting fact-----After today, there will be no tutorials (including GP) for me until NEXT Friday...woo hoo! ^_^ That's mainly becos most of my tutorials are concentrated on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays...hehe. So I'll be enjoying only lectures, chem prac, PE, PW (sianzz...) for the next 9 days or so...muhahaha  Shuang rite?
