Brett Lee
INSIDE EDGE (April/May):
Brett Lee Beaten by the Flipper
Brett Lee, Australian Cricket's answer to Errol Flynn, was narrowly beaten into 2nd place in this year's Cleo Bachelor of the Year award by a man who trains dolphines.

Lee, 24 and very single, expressed disappointment at the decision but said this year's poll and accompanying questionnaire was clearly geared against bachelors who make living rubbing balls against their groin.

A sample of The Fastest Bowler In the World's answers shows just where he went wrong. When asked which sea creature best described his personality, Lee said, "A jeelyfish. Generally soft, but have been known to sting".

He also lost points for claiming that "I don't like girls who swear", and answering the query as to whether he'd ever had sex in water with, "Everyone knows rubber and water don't mix'.

Unfazed, Lee tooled into the night with other nominees, at one stage serenading the assembly on paino with a collection of Kenny Rodgers and Barry Manilow ballads.
