Albany Terminal

Albany Terminal

April, 2000

The Albany Terminal of the Bibbulmun Track is about 400 kilometers from Perth by road and about 963 kilometers by foot if you walk the Bibbulmun Track. Albany is a very pretty town and has a lot to offer the visitor. Albany is an old whaling town and the whaling station is an ineresting place to visit.

Top left: The first real view of Albany townsite and the end of the Bibbulmun Track as seen after leaving Hidden Valley Campsite. That's Albany townsite nestled at the foot of that hill by the bay.

Top: The last turn on the track is here, a turn to the left down an old rail track, a kilometer or so and that's it!

Left: A few more steps, that's the southern terminal right there.

Left: The southern terminal of the Bibbulmun Track.

To the left of the terminal is the Albany Tourist Office.

Behind the terminal is Albany Bay and the Southern Ocean.

In front of the terminal is a spacious parking area.

What a magnificent accomplishment it is to have walked the whole way.
