Hera(picture 3)was a beautiful queen of a place known as Olympus. She was Zues's wife and sister,Hera was also known as the goddess of marriage and the queen of the gods.Juno was her Roman counterpart. She was a very jealous wife,and seized the woman Zues seduced.

Aphrodite,(picture 2)the goddess of love and beauty,was the only Olypian who neither had a mother or father. There are stories that tell that Aphrodite came out of the sea from the genitals of Uranus. According to homer Aphrodite was the daughter of Zues and Dione.Aphrodite was married to hephaestus, but she betrayed him with Ares. Aphrodite had a son named Eros,which is the god of love. Aphrodite's roman counterpart name is Venus.

Ares(picture 1)is the god of war,but better known as the god of warlike frenzy.Even though he was an immortal god,he was beaten by Heracles(roman counterpart is Hercules) in battle and was almost killed when stuffed into a jar by giants.When another hero wounded him during the Trojan War he recieved little sympathy from his father Zues. The way he looked was very cruel but handsome. he was often seen carrying a bloodstained spear. His throne on Mt.Olympus was said to be covered in human skin. Ares roman counterpart is Mars.
