RANDY RHOADS TRAGICALLY DIED AT THE AGE OF 25
DEC 6th, 1956 MAR 19th, 1982
A few brief notes about Randy, He was born in St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California on Dec 6th 1956. His full name is Randall William Rhoads. He attended 1st Lutheran School in Burbank. He went to John Muir Jr High , attended Burbank High School and graduated in a special program in order to recieve his High School Diploma and still carry on with his music. He started his music at the age of 6 1/2 using his gradfather's old acoustic Gibson. He taught music for five years just before going with Ozzy. At the same time Randy formed Quiet Riot and was working hard to promote the band. Randy was about 16 when he formed Quiet Riot. In the last 2 1/2 years of his life he had become intensely interested in classical guitar. His goal was to recieve a Masters Degree in classical guitar and combine the two fields of rock and classical guitar. What a unique sound that would have been! He accomplished so very much in his short life. Only the Lord above knows how much more he could have given us. Delores Rhoads March 19th, 1982 is a day that will live with me forever. Not only did I lose my best friend but the greatest musician I had ever known. Randy Rhoads came into my life in 1979. At that time I was incredibly depressed, and he was what I had dreamed about in a guitar player. He helped make all my dreams come true. Along the way we became buddies and business partners. Randy was a very special person, he inspired, cheered and made everyone in contact with him feel good. Building the band with Randy was one of the happiest times of my life. I know his music will continue to inspire us all. God bless you Randy Rhoads. Ozzy Osbourne
