As every cat owner knows, nobody owns a cat...

I love my cat. I've had Tabby (aka Tab, Taba, Jade and Jada) for three years and she's never let me down. When I'm tired she naps with me, when I'm despressed she pets me and purrs in my ear, and when I cry she licks my tears. And I like J's cats. Cheech is neurotic and afraid of everything and Chong, well, he's huge. 29 pounds and rising. Plus, he just doesn't give a shit. I strongly believe that cats may be the perfect pet.

But I'm scared. As J and I talk about living together, the subject comes up over and over again about Tabby and "the boys". J is concerned about how they'll get along. Taba is a spoiled little princess of a cat, Cheech and Chong don't like treats of toys. (Yeah, I know. Weird.) But Tab and I lived with another cat for a little while, and after a few weeks of unhappy felines, things were fine. (Although, she is more affectionate when she's an only cat.) The boys deal fine with other animals, I've seen them interact with other cats, dogs and ferrets with no problems.

Me? I'm worried for a different reason. My cat is tiny, as long haired calicos tend to me. But the amount of poop in her little box amazes me. And the depth of my hatred for cleaning it amazes me even more. So what the hell happens when there are three cats sharing a box? I know that J isn't so great at cleaning his - I was just at his place and cleaned it for him to stop his roommate from freaking out. And I sure as hell am not cleaning it each week...I need some help from him. Is a Littermaid electric box the answer?

Although, if this is one of my biggest worries about moving in with him, then I guess I'm in a pretty good situation...
