| Pamela Butler, affectionatly called "Pammy" by her friends and family, was a 10 year old tomboy. On October 12, she was kidnapped while playing with her older sister and close friend, Penny. They were roller blading when a man in a white truck pulled up and pulled the screaming 10 year old into a car while her sister stood on the porch and screamed that Pammy was being kidnapped. A neighbor saw this, jumped in his car and followed the abducter for about 3 miles, until he lost them. He has never fully forgiven himself for not being able to stay on the trail. A few days later, after a long and exahusting search, her body was found. Friends and family and many strangers who never met the little blonde girl were there to payt there respects. Many people read poems or said nice things or sang songs, but her best friend, Holly Woods, did not. She said "I dont have poems and I don't have a song, all i have is her memory." The picture to the right was taken the day before her death by the brother of her friend Holly, the other girl in the picture. A suspect in her murder was caught a few days after her abduction. The picture with the balloons is of Pam's class mates realeasing purple baloons, her favorite color, in her memory. More infromation will be posted as it becomes available. |
