The things people would say to me that are rude and bad,
The things that make me sad.
These things over-croud my mind and makes it look like
There's no escape.
Inside my mind, it feels like someone is taking revenge.
It feels like all the things that people say bad about me
Is pushing me over the edge of a cliff.
It seems like there's no way out of this
And like I'm trapped in someone else's world.
Inside my mind, I need to let God take control.
To help me clear the mess from inside my mind.
To keep me from taking revenge on others.
To keep me from doing what is not pleasing in His sight,
So I can love those who did me wrong.
Inside my mind, there's a song, a song of hope and joy.
A song to keep me from stumbling over life's rugged road.
This song is my encouragement when I'm down.
This song is inside my mind to remind me of my promise to God.
