This year, homework will be sent home on Mondays and due back on Fridays. Students will receive homework from their scaffolding teacher.

1.)  Reading:  Your child will be bringing home a reading book each night.  He/she should read for approximately 30 minutes.  Children who are accomplishing this goal will be able to take a Reading Counts quiz to prove their comprehension, thus earning enough points to receive an invitation to a Reading Counts Celebration.  The celebrations take place monthly.

2.)  Math:  Your child will be responsible for completing the math portion of the homework independently.  Students will use an attached math grid sheet to create their own problems that align with that night's math tasks.  Students are accustomed to doing this in class and should not have difficulty.

3.)  Spelling:  Students will be able to choose a variety of spelling activities from the homework cover sheet each week.  They should also have someone quiz them on the words at least twice per week.
