| Windy Word I am the wind And you'd better watch out! I can run, I can fly; I can whistle and shout. I can tap on your window And howl at your door, Tug on your coat tails, Bellow and roar. But in March I'm the loudest; Look out for my might! For when you're not looking I'll steal your new kite. Jean Conder Soule |
March Wind We made a brand new kite today, And soon as we were through We came out here to fly it, And the wind just blew and blew. And now the kite's a tiny speck; We've used up all the string; I'd like to go and get some more. ___________ such a tiny thing To hold the kite all by herself; I wouldn't let her try, For fear I might look back and see __________ sailing through the sky. | Its Time For Spring Bobbi Katz My sweaters tight and itchy, My snow pants are too small. Last week, I lost a mitten, I can't find my scarf at all! My woolen socks have lost their toes, My boots have lost their tread. And I have lost the love I had, For words like "skis" and "sleds". But.....my fishing rod still fits. And.....my baseball bat still hits. I have a kite that wants to fly, So, winter......call it quits! |

| Sunflakes If sunlight fell like snowflakes, gleaming yellow and so bright, we could build a sunman, we could have a sunball fight, we could watch the sunflakes drifting in the sky. We could go sleighing in the middle of July. Through sundrifts and sunbanks, We could ride a sunmobile, And we could touch the sunflakes, I wonder how they'd feel. Frank Asch |

I'm a little leprechaun(sung to I'm a Little Teapot") Dressed in green, The tiniest man That you have ever seen. If you ever catch me, so it's told, I'll give you my pot of gold. |

| Tune: "Mary Had a Little Lamb" I'm looking for a leprechaun, Leprechaun, leprechaun. I'm looking for a leprechaun, Do you know where he's gone? He wears a suit that's made of greeen, Made of green, made of green, He wears a suit that's made of green, Do you know where he's gone? He lives by a rainbow and hides his gold, Hides his gold, hides his gold, He lives by a rainbow and hides his gold, Do you know where he's gone? If you see a leprechaun, Leprechaun, leprechaun, If you see a leprechaun, Please tell me where he's gone! |
