It was Christmas day and Kia was 13 years old it was his last Christmas there at the abbey. He had gotten some sunflowers order to the Abbey for Dina she had never seen real one but had always loved photos of them. They had been hard to find in the winter but Kia wanted to give her something special. Kia found her in the training room. �Here marry Christmas Dina� he said. �Oh Kia there so pretty where you get them?� but just as Kia reached out to give them to her a blade can state at them and shredded them to bits. �Oh� Dina cried. �Sorry Kai I lost control of me new blade.� one of the boys said. �Idiot� Kia said getting up and leaving. �Kia wait it ok really� Dina said running after him. �It�s ok really they wear so pretty thank you very much.� She said. Kia didn�t answer. �I made you some thing it�s not much but I hope you like it.� Dina handed him the box she been holding. Kai took it and opened it revealing a white scarf. �Do you like it?� she asked. �Yes� Kia said flashing her a grin. Dina face lit up like a Christmas tree. �Really� �Really� Kia said. They walked in silence for a while. �I�m sorry I don�t have a really gift for you know but-� Before she had a change to say anything Kai leaned forward and kissed her. She was too stunned to talk. �See you later ok� Kia said flashing one more grin at her. Kia went into his room closing the door behind him. ******************************************************************************************* Kia couldn�t believe this be had kissed her and got her flowers! I did all that and she hates me what�s her problem! Kia thought. That can�t be it he must have done something she had seemed to really care about him. Think harder he told himself. ******************************************************************************** It had only been a few day after Christmas. �I hate it here� Kia told Dina. �I know you do I do too but there nothing we can do even if we could get out of here where would we go?� She said. �I don�t know but I not staying here any more I leaving tonight.� �Kia you can�t leave you just can�t!� she cried. �I come back once I find a place I come back and get you I promise I just don�t want you out there with me with no place to go.� �but what if you get hurt or something� Dina said trying not to cry. �I will be fine and I come back for you soon I promise.� Kai said hugging her. �It will be ok I�ve always been there for you and that will not change ever ok� Kai said. ******************************************************************************** Kai felt like he had just been punched in the face. After everything he had said after all those promises he never gone back for her she must hate him! It not my fault Kai thought I couldn�t remember a thing about before. She doesn�t know that dummy he told himself. I have to get her to talk to me, that will be essay he thought. It�s not like I like her anymore he told himself I just want to know about my past that�s all. |
| Chapter three: Ray helps out Kai hung up the phone and sighed. �What�s up man you look down?� Ray said. �It�s nothing� Kai answer. �Does it have to do with that girl from yesterday, the one you knew?� Ray asked. �I said it nothing ok� Kai said angrily. �Come on Kai I think you known me long enough to know you can trust me.� Ray said. �Just but out ok� Kia said. �Eventually you�re going to have to accept that I�m your friend and I won�t but out just because you can�t see that yet.� Ray said and walked off. Dina was paralyzed she couldn�t believe it she had not told anyone since she left the abbey how much see loved sunflowers. Which meant they could only be from someone there. She had a good idea of whom too. She reached down and ran her hands over them and a note fell out. It was Kia�s hand writing she read it. �Dina I was thinking about our last Christmas together and thought I owed you these I�m sorry for the trouble I caused you, but I really need to talk to you. Meet me tonight at the creek outside of town.-Kai.� �Well as you all know the first mach of the torment does not count but is always one to remember. This year one of the Rippers will face off agents one of the blade breakers.� Said the umpire as the crowd cheered. �Who is going to fight our first match?� Max asked. �Well I think it should be Ray, using Tyson is to predictable and we should save Kai for later plus we might need Max�s great defenses later on too. Ray would be perfect because he a great blader and always puts on a great performance which is what this battle all about showing off our moves.� said Kenny. �Well good luck� Tyson said as he thumped Ray on the back. �I wonder who they will pick to fight?� Ray said. �Well it looks as if both teams are ready to go so blader to the plate please.� the Umpire said. Ray stepped up to the bowl and watched a girl dressed all in black step up to the other side she had red hair and brilliant green and brown eyes. �Name�s Elli� she said. �Ray� Ray answered. �Ok then� she said raising her blade. �Looks like there ready to go well three, two, one!� �Let it rip� Ray yelled releasing his blade. �Rip it� Elli said as she let her blade fly. �Rip it I like that it�s different.� Ray said. �I like different� Elli said. �That�s cool I do too but I still like the old fashion thing to like this.� �Tiger claw� Ray yelled as Trigger came flying out of his blade and toward hers he knocked her blade across the dish. �Trigger ended it!� Ray Yelled as Trigger knocked her bayblade out of the dish. �We have a winner!� the Umpire said. �Alright!� Max yelled. �Hey good battle hope to run into you again soon.� Ray said. The girl looked him over and raised an eyebrow �Maybe� She said turning and walking away.The rest of the battles wear fairly easy for the blade brakers that day. When the got back to the hotel and had eaten and everything they all started to wander off to bed. �Hey Kai aren�t you tiered?� Ray asked. �I not going to sleep yet I have things to do.� Kai said getting up to leave. �What things?� Ray said. �Just things� Kai said and left. |
