At Sea
When on the ship, we ate most of our meals in the Elation dining room. The wait staff seemed to work from dawn til well past dusk.  Though our seating for dinner was late, everyone from Mr. V the maitre 'd to our assistant waiter Carlos had a warm welcome and a smile for us.  Most nights they even treated us to a song or dance during "showtime" after dinner.
Showtime!
Our waiter Gerard & his assistant Carlos were wonderful-so sweet and funny and thoughtful that we all fell in love with them.
Speaking of falling in love with the staff, Dave developed quite a crush on the woman whose voice was used in the elevator sound systems to announce the floors. For some reason, he especially liked it when she said "Lido Deck".  Luckily, we got to hear her say those words often, since the buffets were located on Lido Deck.
Apparently Dave wasn't the only guy to fall for this mystery woman. One night another man in the elevator admitted that he, too, was smitten.

Dave & I planned this cruise while I was being treated for cancer. I really needed something to look forward to while I was undergoing chemo and surgeries and other tests and treatments. I'd often picture myself on a beautiful island, healthy and having fun. We sure earned this vacation and it really was a dream come true.
