| About Me |
| My name is Jean Donahue. I received my diploma in Early Childhood Education from Seneca College in 1994. I have been dedicated the field of childcare ever since. I worked for 9 years in a daycare centre in Scarborough until the birth of my youngest daughter in 2002. Rather than returning to work in the centre I decided to try something new. Home daycare poses many challenges not found in a daycare centre and I was equal to the task. I operated a successful program for two years. In June 2005, due to unforseen circumstances, I had to close my home daycare and return to work in a daycare centre. However, my true love has been the program that I built here at home and the families with which I built it. In September 2006 I will reopen Little Chickadee Home Daycare and continue to offer quality care. I have three children, Emily, who is 8 and Mary Jo, who is 5 and Connor who was born in October 2007. They love having friends to play with everyday. My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing and educational environment for your child; the same kind of care I would want for my own children. |
