review: 03.31.01- Heart Beats Red, Aveo, Made for TV Movie at the Meow Meow
Ooh ooh, last night I went to see some t-i-double-grr-eight shows. Local Portland bands Made for TV Movie and Heart Beats Red, with Seattle band Aveo. They were all quite wonderful.
Heart Beats Red was really sweet and rollicking music. Shimmery girl harmonies and wistful lyrics. It was beautful.
Aveo is a band that conveys this wailing urgency and longing and angst with their intense, misty-eyed vocals and their powerful drumming and guitar.
Made for TV Movie: Very very strong, full-bodied sound. Beautiful. Kind of leaves you wrecked.
