Umm...

not many of you know me, and, being as small as I am, even more of you probably havent even seen me...umm, but an unexpected meeting with an aquaintance from home, Chasuble, the other day, made me think of my homeland, even more than I usually do...so I post this here to try and drop a weight from my heart...

My name is Bordelaise, I am a sprite and a little sister of the monks guild, umm...and I am here because of never being able to curb my curiosity...erm, and this is the story of how I ended up in Moorgate...

...I come from the land where the sun always shines, where my twenty sisters still live, and where hapinness prevails, the sight of evil rarely, if ever, being seen. I had a happy life, being the smallest and youngest in the family always being taken care of, and spending all day playing with my sisters in the fields by the sea...one day, oh how that day keeps returning in my thoughts and making me feel sad, a big ship...the biggest ship I have ever seen, was spotted off the coast. Everyone spoke of the ship, and some had even been out to it to look at the sun tanned, muscular men who were walking around and laughing and drinking a strange brown liquid on the deck of the ship...

...on the third day, not being able to sleep the previous nights, I found myself walking on the beach looking out at the ship...I felt I just had to have a look, to see the mysterious men out there, so I threw myself in the air and flew, in a circle as not to be spotted, toward the ship...I carefully put my feet down on the deck, feeling with all my body how the ship was swaying with the soft rolling of the waves, and I began to look around to find out why it was there and who them strange big men were. I kept hidden and carefully approached a group of men sitting around a big keg. Their rumbling laughter almost hurt my ears and they were holding big glasses with that brown liquid I had never seen before...one of the men, speaking the language I have know become accustomed to, rose to leave, and put his glass down. Very carefully I waited for the others to look in his direction before sneaking up to see what was in the glass. Without even thinking any longer I put my head down in the glass to smell the liquid...and there my mind goes blank...

...when I came to my senses I was lying in the middle of a long rolled up heap of rope in a corner of the ship. The rain was beating down on me and I was feeling cold, and most of all...I was feeling real alone. The men couldn't be heard anywhere. I carefully looked around and found the ship was at the docks of a town I had never seen before. The town, as I learned not much later, was called Moorgate.

Umm...that's how I came here. Upon arriving I met a friendly man named Toranaga who seemed to have been waiting for me, don't ask me how he knew...He took care of me and told me to seek refuge in the guild of the monks...So I did, and I found lots of friendly people who have made me feel at home. I am ever grateful to those who wish to call themselves my friends, be they monks or not, that does not matter...what matters is what is within the heart...
