Munkustrap is the second in comand of the Jellicle Tribe, once Old Dueteronomy either dies or decides to retier he'll take over the leadership. He's definately is my favorite tom in the tribe because he is always gaurding the kittens and Old. Dueteronomy. You can notice him because he is the tall grey tabby that sings the very first line of the play "Are you blind when your born?" Then he sings the song "The Old Gumbie Cat" which is sung about Jennyanydots. I believe that Demeter is his mate because of two things. First because of how he fights Macavity for her all by himself, and then after the whole scene how they cuddle when all the lights are out. Rum Tum Tugger is his wild brother and Old Dueteronomy is his loveing father. You can see that the two of them have a sorta "Father-Son" moment right before Jemima sings about the rising sun. He also is the final cat to lead Grizzabella to Old Dueteronomy when she is finally picked to go to the Heavyside lair. He has what I believe is the largest part in the musical meaning I believe that he sings and speaks the most out of all the cats. |
