| Topics, Activities and Planning |
| At Little pixies each month a new topic with planned activities is arranged. These are planned around Early years foundation stage which was bought out september 2008.. This is provided for children aged between 3 months and 5 yrs. This also helps to focus on meeting the individual needs of each child and the importance of learning through play. Not only will the children have the choice of planned activities they will also have a large range of toys, games, and crafts. Any work done within the topic will be place in a childs private folder, whilst some work may be place up on display or taken home.. We also go on outings which include: a trip on the train to brighton beach, Ball pool/Soft play areas, Park,shops,childminder drop ins, stay and play, nature trails and lots more. |

| Children will have an on going learning program where observations will recorded weekly and a record will be kept upto date to see your childs progress in pre-school learning. You will be sent home a copy of the weekly observations. Within each topic will also be celebrations from different religions and cutures from around the world which occur during that month. Parents will be given a news letter at the beginning of each month which will include activities, celebrations and outings which have been planned. |
| Here is just a sample of activities and topics which we may use: Large selection of people,cars, train and road mat, Cooking, Role play , Sing along/Action songs and movement, Large range of Arts and Crafts, Corn flour play, Puppet making, Play dough, Number,letter, shape and colour recognition. Fancy Dress. Minibeast topic, Growth topic, Healthy living topic, People who help us topic, The Big out doors topic. |
