Every Child Matters was produced by the Goverment in 2003 after a Public inquiry set up following the tragic death of Victoria Climbie's Death in February 2005. So as from 1st April 2005 Ofsted now inspect Childminder using these 5 aims and objectives of Every Child Matters and write a report on each which is then given a grade:

    Oustanding: This aspect of provision is exceptionally high quality.
       Good: This aspect of provison is Strong.
       Satisfactory: This aspect of provision is sound.
       Inadequate: This aspect of provision is not good enough.

Little Pixies had thier inspection on Wednesday 19th April 2006, It lasted for just over 2 and a half hours and went really well. The ofsted inspector was very impressed with the web site, provision of the children and variety of indoor and out activities at Little Pixies as well as how the property extreamly welcoming to both Parents and Children. We talked about all the paper work before my mindiee came and was then inspected with my minded child. The inspector took alook around the property in every room, as every room can be used in my day care service. She was very happy with the childs height sink in the bathroom as well as the childrens height coat pegs and table.

The out come of the Ofsted inspection at Little Pixies was as follows:-

3 Keeping safe                                    GOOD
4 Making a Positive Contribution           GOOD
5 Economic well being                         GOOD
   Overall Grade                                GOOD!!
