Lakin, Kansas, USA (K36K)

Today I flew with mom and dad in a kit built Rans S-12. The conditions were good for thermals so we did our best to circle in lift. We found one good thermal, made it to 7,500 feet and shut her down. We maintained altitude for only a few minutes before we had to turn the engine back on but it was still fun! After the thermals experience I got a lot of pratice in aileron/rudder cordination and ground reference. I got a total of 2.3 hours of instruction today!

Lakin, Kansas, USA (K36K)

I flew with dad today. We were doing a survey of some land around Lakin. We spent most of the time very close to the ground, so close that we had to go up and over power lines and fences! We flew for 3.9 hours.
